I just received 3 Brunton fuel bottles with two piece bottle

I just received 3 Brunton fuel bottles with two piece bottle caps. The caps are spring loaded with interlocking teeth that mesh when pushed down to close or open. It seals tight with no leaks but I am wondering why the two piece design? Is it some kind of pressure relief valve?

I mean what do you expect from a fuel bottle, the cap is solid and it does what it should.

One problem though is when I received my bottle, it was obviously used...its a fuel bottle not really a big deal, but whatever was it caused some green stuff to grow and had a rather bad stinch when I opened it. Anyways not the bottle's problem, I just think you should at least get a clean bottle (especially if you think you're getting a new one).

it would be mice if yall add the option if adding things to a wishlist and it would help me out tremendously cause i am new into camping and have no gear and my granddad has agreed to buy me supplies but when u have no gear you have to have everything it would take me awhile to add everything to my cart in a matter of a day.Please keep my opinon open on having a option of adding stuff to a wishlist.

Better yet, create a "Gear List". It is indeed not only a wish list, but, you can create multiple Gear Lists. You can give each one descriptive names.

1) Create an account.
2) Login
3) Just use the "Add this to my Gear List".
4) Select the "Create New List" from the drop-down combo box.
5) Etc...

Unfortunately not. These fuel bottles are designed to hold liquid fuel. The Raptor is a compressed gas, canister stove.

I used these to hold extra gas as I traveled on my motorbike from Salt Lake City to Oregon and down the coast. The climate changed quite a bit, but the bottles held tightly in place and never leaked. Even with all the rattling.

These containers are really nice and work well for fuel for my alcohol stove. Only wish they had more color designs to choose from.

I have a couple from about 8 years ago that are a pretty blue and red. They have worked great for storing liquid paraffin for my oil lamps at home. Just don't use the tops that have a flow spout on them (ex: REI Super Pour Spout) because they leak. The tops that come with these bottles though, are leak proof and no problem.

Spend the money to get good fuel canisters, you won't regret it.
