Nice compass

Good price for a good compass. It does the job and feels sturdy. I've only rated it "pretty cool" because I can't love something when I don't fully understand all its wonderful uses. I may come to love it later as I become more educated on its use.

Brunton Love

By:

All of the other compasses in this price range were lacking declination adjustment and that is why I went with this one. The color is sick and it seems to be strongly built. It even has little glow-in-the-dark dots so you can read it in pitch black dark (although I don't know why you'd be hiking in the dark without some form of light). And on top of all that it gets me to my destinations so i'm happy.

great compass

I got this for my wilderness survival class and compared to other compasses people had, this one is really easy to read the degrees, I didnt think it would make much difference with other compasses, but this is really a great compass, and its easy to turn the dial to get MG-N. Anyway if you think this is just a compass, know you're getting a great item and this is better then a whatever compass you would find at Target or whatever.

It just Keeps on pointing North!

By:

Hey! Guess What? It points North, just like it should! WOW! Great little compass. Luv to say I walked out of the Outback from a plane crash or something, but I didnt. Used it all week in the Rockies and it still kept pointing North! You cant go wrong, ...unless the poles flip or something...

lil' lifesaver

By:

honestly I forgot I had this in my Land Nav kit after my lensatic compass died on me. Better than mil-spec stuff small, lightweight, and easy to read... even with little light.

Super simple to use. Pair it up with a National Geographic topo map (http://www.backcountry.com/store/NGO0018/Trails-Illustrated-Trails-Illustrated-Intermountain-West-Maps.html) and you'll be able to keep yourself pretty straight out there with just a little practice. Throw it in the top of your pack and it'll be there if/when you need it.
