Bridgedale Endurance Summit Heavyweight Sock - Men's

Your nerves may be shot, but at least your feet will be comfortable while you're hiking through avalanche-prone couloirs wearing the Bridgedale Summit Socks. Bridgedale made these extreme series heavyweight socks for active use in very cold weather. Gore recommends you wear the Summit Socks with their Gore-Tex boots since the socks aid in the ventilation process of their waterproof/breathable footwear. The Summit Sock's blend of New Wool and Isolfil keep your feet warm and wick away moisture so your feet stay dry. Bridgedale has tested and rated the Summit Socks down to -25C.

Bottom Line: We have reached the summit with warm feet. Nice.

Awsome Socks

By:
January 16, 2009

I previously owned Bridgedale socks which lasted me 8 years and still are going strong.......I always purchase the same ones (design) so I can loose a sock or two and still mix pairs and they all match. I just purchased this week 7 pairs of these socks and would like more. Come on guys stock some more of these socks!. They wear exceptionally well, are very comfortable and hold up for years even under daily use. These socks are the best investment. Thanks for stocking this brand. Bridgedale is the only way to go in my view and Backcountry is very good reputable place that ships quickly and accurately what you order. Many thanks to all of you!

You guys introduced me to Bridgedale socks and like all of their products, these are a great deal. They are very comfortable and warm. I wear these with my work boots for the added cushion and insulation.

My favorite sock after 45 years of tramping outdoors. Worth the money.

Would you recommend this sock for long distance cross country

Would you recommend this sock for long distance cross country skiing? Past experience with poor quality socks resulted in severely blistered heal and skin abrasion. Thank you for any comments/suggestions.

This is a heavy weight sock, so you would need to make sure you had enough room in your xc boots so you don't restrict your circulation. If so, then this sock would be fine. Most people use the mid weight Trekker sock or the Bridgedale Cross Country sock for XC skiing.

Great pair of socks

By:

Bridgedale socks are great. Only have to wear 1 pair instead of an inner. Good up to -25 with winter boots. Comfortable too. Glad I bought 3 pair. Way to go BackCountry selling quality gear.

Awesome

Bridgedale is the ultimate in quality. Wore a pair similar to these on an AT thru hike. They lasted the entire time while I was replacing my smartwools (which I also like) every month or two. 4 years later, I still have them. One has a small hole on the ankle but not bad for about 3,000 miles.

Great Socks

By:
January 4, 2007

Good, high quality mid-weight hiking sock. When a thick pair of old Wigwam wool hikers are too thick and a thin sock is too thin, these should fill the bill nicely. Quality of construction and material is obvious. Also makes a nice, warm everyday sock when the level of thickness is acceptable.
