Love'm. They are light, breath well, look really cool and the shoe laces never come untied. The problem with the 550's is that they are a large volume boot and wider than the Classic 500's. I wear a 10 500 and a 10.5 550. Each series seems to be someone different.

Backcountry was willing to exchange twice before I got the right size. They were really great.

But once you have that ironed out, with good socks, you will never want to take them off.

got them for my husband and he loves them. look great. 9.5 fit perfectly and he says they are super comfortable. i wanted to get the same for myself, however I am between 5.5 and 6 and 5.5 was too big for me.

These are comfortable boots that are surprisingly light weight. Very versatile shoe. I found the fit to be true to size.

However, backcountry.com graciously sent me the wrong color and now they are sold out of the color I want with no back order or special ordering available. Very poor service from a typically decent vendor. Bummer...
