Rock out with your chalk out!

By: Backcountry.com Pro Athlete

If you climb like I do, you have to deal with a lot of terror sweat. So I need chalk, and lots of it.

This is good chalk. Creamy, delicious, the color goes with everything. What else can I say?

Gold Digger

By:
October 1, 2009

This is like cocaine, but it actually gets you off the ground. It is chalk, and chalk that really works. Dries out my hands mid-pitch, I can focus on the problem at hand, not the sweat in hand. It is uncut though, so beware of the super addictiveness.

Nice Product

By:

I just started rock climbing. Instructor and others I climb with use this chalk, so how could I go wrong. First two climbs I didn't use chalk, now I use it all the time.

It's chalk

By:
December 10, 2008

Plain and simple. Works great and doesn't suck your hands to withered husks like some additive-laced chalk.

Dry

By:
January 8, 2009

This chalk does its job too well. Climbing with this chalk has dried my hands out to the point where a fellow co-worker was disgusted with my cracked fingers. I used to just dump it from the plastic bag into my chalk bag so I was able to plaster my hands pretty well with the stuff and that may have something to do with the extreme dryness of my hands. But either way it does its job and I don't have to worry about sweaty slippery hands.

Sticky!

By:
June 7, 2009

Being afraid of heights I get terror sweats like crazy even on a 5.5..
I was using a "Met" brand and it wasn't helping much except drying my skin..
Switched to BD and presto I am climbing 7 and 8's and able to work on advancing

Get a grip!

By:

Best chalk I've used yet! Nice nuggets for filling a homemade chalk sock and then a few tossed into the bottom of the bag. No cake batter hands! 300G is ALOT of chalk now that I wont be using so much.
Shipping was ultra fast too!

Love this chalk, just break a little bit of it up, throw it in your bag, and off you go. Smooth like buttah.

Gold Nuggets

By:
January 9, 2009

This is great Chalk. I normally would buy block chalk and then break it up into pieces. This White Gold is sold already broken up into perfect sized gold nuggets. I purchased the 300g size and it should last me several months climbing 2-3 times each week.

Great chalk for anyone climbing. It needs to be broken up well in your bag, but makes for fantastic holds. Always their in a crimp.

Disappointed

By:
January 18, 2007

I was actually looking for the Block chalk and instead I received this.
It's OK, but I really like to break it up myself or use it to rub on my hands with one big side of the chalk.
