Black Diamond Polar Star Headlamp - 2007

The Black Diamond Polar Star Headlamp has halogen and LED bulbs for variable light power and a removable battery pack which can be kept warm in your jacket during cold-weather use. When the going gets chilly, the cold weather saps batter life. Unclip the battery pack from the headband and stash it inside your coat to keep the batteries warm so they last longer. The Polar Star Headlamp is ideal for winter camping, mountaineering, ice climbing, and February dawn patrol ski tours. This Black Diamond headlamp has a high-powered Xenon halogen bulb for times when you need to see 100m ahead during your nighttime ski tour and four variable-power LED bulbs that conserve battery power when hanging around camp or reading in your tent.

Great all around

I have a Zenix IQ headlamp and bought this on an auction for $15 to have as a back up, but I like it so much I have trouble decided which headlamp I want to use when I'm out climbin, campin, hikin, or just hangin out. Its a great lamp. I recommend to anyone.

I am a big fan of black diamond. I would give it a 5 but I forgot it last time I went camping so just don't forget it and it'll be one of the best headlamps around!
