The gate opens pretty wide so they're good for racking a cordalette. Good all purpose utility biner - probably not for hard leads though - the direction of the gate opening is not easily/quickly felt in your hand.

These are a standard for racking trad gear on your harness. They help keep jumbles of stoppers, slings, cams, etc., organized and accessible. The wiregate shaves some weight off a rack versus a solid gate oval. To my knowledge, the only other wiregate oval on the market is the Omega Pacific Doval.

Ovals are also typically used in aid climbing, but since I don't aid, I can't comment on the BD's performance for that purpose.

The cheapest biner out there...great for racking gear.

Solid/uniform racking, lightweight biner. BD quality, good price. As with most symmetrical carabiners, you'd thank yourself for marking the top or bottom.

These biners are very large and hold a lot. Great for racking nuts or hexs. The cliping action is also very smooth and nice. The only down side is they are a bit large, but what do you expect buying an oval.

Best and lightest oval. Slim profile. Excellent for racking and multi-purpose.

These are great for slings and such, I would like them better if they had the KEY LOCK system that BD has available on other carabiners, but for the price you just cant complain.
