Is this compatible with the old first gen cobras, or if not is there anyway to make a pinky rest for those tools?

No. This will only go on the newest Gen of vipers and cobras. You may be able to make the viper fang for pre 2007 vipers work on those tools.

I'm fairly sure the gold/new Vipers come with these, so only buy if you have the old silver Vipers. And get these before the shrike. You'll be totally leashless with these alone. Easy to mount. Easier than shrike.
