Big Agnes Parkview 3 Tent - 3-Person 3-Season - 2007

With the spacious Big Agnes Parkview 3-Person 3-Season Tent, you'll no longer feel cramped when three campers pile in with all their gear. The Parkview 3 has a massive 50sq ft floor, dual doors, four mesh pockets, and 26sq ft of storage space under its two vestibules. Despite all the room in this Big Agnes tent, it stills weighs only 6lb 14oz thanks to a 40D Silicone-coated nylon fly and Scandium poles.

Bottom Line: You'll never want the rain to stop when you're inside the Big Agnes Parkview 3 Tent.

Both the Parkview 2 & 3 show a picture of the tents in fastpack

Both the Parkview 2 & 3 show a picture of the tents in fastpack style - rainfly and footprint only, no inner tent. So, do they come with the footprint? There's no mention of that in the description. Typically, tents don't come with one unless its specifically described as so.

Hi Scope, You are correct, the footprint would be sold seperately.

Nice tent

By:

Overall this is a good tent. When used for three grown men and a dog we were comfy with sufficient room. Setup is straightforward and the materials are top notch. It rained lightly during the night and we had no problems. The vestibule is large and good for loading up a few packs and boots. The interior height and ovreall space was great for hanging a lantern and playing some cards, plenty of space did not feel too tight. The weight is fine, I do not mind carrying a slightly heavier load for increased durability and comfort, worth it to me. The guidelines have a nice reflective coating that allows you to spot your tent on the way back from a nightly bathroom trip or late night expedition. I only give this 4 stars because of my limited experience in varying conditions, but so far ALL Big Agnes products and tents especially I have used are a cut above the rest, really a solid choice if you can afford a Big Agnes they are great tents.

The Parkview is a totally different tent which employs the SL Hub system, not available on the Sunnyside. Similar specs however.http://www.trailspace.com/gear/big-agnes/sunnyside-3/

Don't buy this tent

By:
December 29, 2008

This tent let me down big time in a tough situation. I was camping in Samoa and three of the poles snapped and one broke the rain fly. Bottom line this sucks when you're living in your tent for 8 months. I wouldn't buy this tent again. Aside from that the rain fly sticks to the tent when it's raining and the condensation drips on you.
