Snow has been coming down all night, and the plow just came through, surrounding your vehicle with several feet of the white stuff. Pull on your Baffin Women’s Chloe Winter Boots, and go dig your sidewalk, driveway, and car out. Baffin insulated these boots with seven-layer liners and Thermaplush, so your toes stay warm down to -40F. Cold-resistant EVA midsoles prevent the ground’s chill from seeping into your boots, and a durable rubber outsole gives you traction on the ice.
Bottom Line: Dealing with winter storms just got easier.
I usually wear a 7.5 to 8.0, so I ordered the 8 and the boots run a little bit big- not enough for me to return the boots as they are warm and fit well into my snowshoes! Love them otherwise- no snow in my boots, toes are nice a toasty and liner removes easily to dry out!
I just received these boots in black today. I'm normally a size 6-6.5 but I ordered a size 7 since I figured with the thick socks it might be a tight fit with a 6. Well, just tried them on with the thick socks and the back of my foot still wiggles inside the boot when I walk. I'm going to exchange them for the 6 tomorrow. I'm hoping it won't be too tight. They really are cute and super comfy.
I'm going to the snow for the first time next year and will be spending a few weeks immersed in snow (yeah!), i need a boot that will be good for walking/hiking around in the snow occassionally as well as general warm boot for around town... can anyone recommend a particular shoe that will double up for me?
Received the boot today in black. Ordered a size 6 - Received a size 6 AAA. Way too narrow for my daughter. Immediately contacted BC. They claim that is all they have is AAA narrow. Also, Fit conversion chart on Baffin website is different than on BC website (i.e, size 6 woman is 36 on BC site but 37 on Baffin website). Anyway, nice looking boot if you have narrow feet.
How flexible is the leather upper part of the boot? Does it feel very stiff on first try? Does it need much "breaking-in?' What about the soles: are they completely hard, or is there a bit of shock absorbency? Thanks.
Drove myself crazy researching boots for my winter vacation in Jackson Hole WY and finally decided on these. These boots far exceeded my expectations. Extremely comfortable-especially the fit on my shin-no rubbing whatsoever. My feet get cold and painful very easily but these boots kept my feet warm and dry snow shoeing and sledding. All that and cute too. I don't think I could have chosen a better boot.
I ordered a size 8(usually wear an 8 - 8.5)and probably should have gotten a 9 because I can't get them on with thick winter socks. But so far haven't needed the thick socks they are very toasty warm and have received tons of compliments on how cute they are. We've had a crazy winter in WA and these have been a life saver. Love the drawstring instead of loose laces to tie. Liners remove easily these are really great boots.
I LOVE my new boots!!! I bought them after MUCH research on what would keep me warm, because my extremities get painfully cold very quickly. I've only had these boots a short while, but a few days ago it got down to 9 degrees F, so I tried them out. My feet felt wonderfully comfortable- just like I wasn't outside in the cold at all. So I'm very happy... Plus they are really cute too! I thought I'd have to sacrifice fashion for practicality, but I've been proven- quite delightfully- wrong! I can't believe I've suffered through so many winters past without knowing about Baffin products.
These boots weigh around 3.24 lbs for the pair and 1.62 individually...which isn't bad considering how insulated they are and how hard core the outer material and sole are.
I wore these boots to snowshoe on vacation and had no problem during multiple trips one being at least 5 miles in the Grand Teton Park in WY. Not too heavy, VERY comfortable, and kept my feet WARM and DRY : ) The temps ranged from a little below 0 F and up to the teens F. I would recommend them for any cold weather trip.
They run very true to size....plus just a hair of wiggle room. I'd bump up to a 9 for a little extra wiggle room and the space for thicker socks.Hope that helps.
I'm looking for a winter boot that is knee high, but this detail is never mentioned. These look like they might be higher than the typical mid calf. Any idea of the height?
They are taller than most other boots. I don't know that they go all the way to the knee but they'll go up to the top of your calves for sure.....unless you're wicked tall.
