I bought both colors and like the grey one better. They fit an average head well and look great. I have not hat them out in the severe elements yet however.

It is a loose knit, good for not too cold days or under a hood on freezing days.

Cool hat. I got the grey and purple one and I love it. I'm not usually a big hat wearer but this has changed me... deep. However, on the inside there were some loose ends that looked like someone got lazy and didn't tie knots at the ends of their crocheting... I didn't want to pull them to see what happened but they haven't come undone or anything, so it is no big deal. And with backcountry's lifetime satisfaction warranty, what is there to lose?

My wife got me this, I was concerned about the purple zag, not my color. Other than that it keeps my bald head warm.

Keeps my bald head warm and cozy. Nothing too flashy but the zag gives it a little style. Gets more comfortable with time. It does slide down over my eyes sometimes and then I take a siesta.
