The Backcoutry.com Cajap Beanie might look like your standard toque, but rest assured, those expecting average will possibly die of shock when the Cajap’s sexy-soft Alpaca graces their head. Yeah, Alpaca, people—the magical fur of the elusive llama beast of the South American highlands that rivals the softness of Merino, unicorn fur, and Falcor fur. This mystical Alpaca material holds warmth close without turning your head into an itchfest.
Bottom Line: The Cajap wants your head to be comfortable.
this alpaca is a dark rich brown, and this is the natural color of the fiber. not dyed. care instructions - similar to cashmere, hand wash, or wash carefully in a delicate wash cycle. flat dry. please note that this natural fiber requires less washing...
Both are new this year and made in the usa, using alpaca fibers from south america. The only difference is design Puno is slightly taller than the Cajap.
one of the best beanies out there. very warm, very comfortable. gets a tiny bit itchy on the forehead, but that may be because it was too warm. looks much nicer than many of the tech beanies out there. super soft.
Nope. that is true. The alpaca fibers, is SO SO soft, fleece would feel like scotch brite. Alpaca is finer than merino wool, AND is hollow fiber. this makes even more flexible, softer, and warmer because of the insulation properties. Seriously, this hat does not need any fleece lining.
This beanie is hotter than Tayra Banks, and comfortable as Queen Latifah. Alpaca is the softest kind of wool ive ever felt, damn near beating Merino. I use this guy if i need serious warmth, because it is a super warm beanie, to the point where i reserve it for the slopes. Note: if you have short hair, alpaca is an itchy kind of wool. it is soft as the dickens, but you'll notice it on your shaved noggin like i often do. if you have any hair above 1 inch, you will not notice, and will be happy and comparable to a fluffy kitten.
