Like all the band t-shirts you’ve loved before, the Backcountry.com Men’s Logo T-Shirt wants some QT on your body. This cotton t-shirt shows your love loud and proud—just don’t let your ex-girl friend wear it. This t-shirt isn't pre-shrunk and will shrink about 4-inches in length after a wash and dry on low heat--choose your size accordingly.
What's up with all these people saying the t-shirt is too tall? It's just right. And the best part is the arm sleeves are just the right length, they don't go past your elbows, most shirts that fit appropriately (longer), the sleeves go 3/4 down your arm to make you look like a thug with baggy-ass style. This shirt is slim, a little longer than most t's, and sleeves are adjusted accordingly. I LOVE the fit, look, style of this shirt. And it's soft.
rad. these shirts are not boxes, with purpose. longer, more slim, makes them look better fit better.
some new backcountry styles have similar styling, but are prewashed for a better 'outta the box' fit, and a little lighter organic cotton. check out the dreamland
These T-Shirts rock. They are super soft and comfortable and I have washed them many times and they still feel great and have the same color. Also, the logo is unique and people who are unfamiliar with the Ibex "goat" logo really seem to like it.
I love this shirt. It was a little long when i got it, but after the wash, it fit great. It got a little snug on me after the wash, so the next time, i pulled out of the dryer early and stretched out the chest. It feels so great on the skin. I want one in every color!!
I am a huge fan of the goat shirt, but was very confused by the newest update. The last goat shirts I bought were too short. These new ones are way to long. I have a 41.5" chest, so the XL fit just fine there, but the shirt was seriously almost 7" past my crotch and almost went to my knees! My girlfriend is going to hem it for me cause I am not so handy at the sewing machine. Great shirt face, but I dont understand the length issue.
Actually I took your advice and washed 5 times over in hot water, warm water, and even put the dryer on high. But it still has to be tucked in. Guess its back to the sewing machine!
This shirt is too big for me. I bought a small. I'm 5'5" and skinny. The shirt goes almost half way down my thighs and the sleeves run just a little bit longer than I like. The shirt is slim and fits pretty well. This would probably be a good shirt for a tall skinny guy.
almost all of the whiskeymilitia, tramdock, and backcountry shirts are currently this fit. I should know, I purchased them all before they phase this style of shirt out. Best fitting T I've ever found.
This photo was taken of two of Backcountry.com's Software Engineers. You can see that the shirt on the looker's left is unaltered. The sleeve length and the shirt length are both on the long side. The engineer on the right altered the body length and cut off almost eight inches of length.
5/28/09 - I've since become more familiar with these shirts. The shirt shrinks considerably after the first wash and the sizes become closer to what I'd first expect. After two washes, it's all good.
I won't give this shirt a bad review cuz I luv BC. Im even giving it 4 stars cuz I luv BC. However, if it wasn't a BC shirt Id probably only give it 2 stars. While it is a shirt, and performs as a shirt should (a shirt that covers my torso, protecting me from minnor elements), Id have to agree with the comsumers reporting it as being like a 'nighty'. I can truly understand how guys keep loosing their shirts to girlfriends for sleeping in, lol. I got the large because of the reviews that refer to it as being way too tight. Im 5'7" ish, 150 lbs...heh, and I usually wear a medium in a tshirt. This thing is almost too tight. Its NOT tight, but for a large shirt it seems to be more like a medium in girth. Unfortunately the sizing goes way off that track in terms of length in the torso. I really thought people were maybe being a lil overstated about the tightness and especially about the length factor. I was wrong. They are right. This thing seriously does hang all the way down past my butt. If I were to put on running shorts and this shirt, lol....Id look like I was running naked with a tshirt on!!! It TRULY is THAT LONG!!!! Fortunately for me my niece is pretty handy with a sewing machine so sizing (as long as not too small) is rarely an issue for me with clothing.
I do have to say I simply love the Jalepeno green color tho and rockin the BC Goat will be great as soon as I get this 'nighty' turned into a 'righty'. Buyer be warned that the ridicules on this shirts sizing ARE NOT people with lousy figures trying to slide into something not proper fit for them. The sizing is HORRIBLE on this shirt. Makes me wonder how it ever got to market in the first place. Hopefully BC will fix this as we can see in the pic review that this is the 2nd time they obviously got this shirt wrong. Better luck next time, BC...third times a charm!!!
Really nice t-shirt! They fit true to size but the body is just a little long for the size. It's not overly long but longer than normal. They have a great cut. They're very thick shirts and the colors are really nice. I picked up all three colors and love them! They also wash very well, clean well and don't fade or haven't in the first 2 dozen washings. Great product from great people!
I love this shirt. The heavier fabric is great outdoors compared to other organic shirts the feel so thin that I am afraid to wear them anywhere outside city limits. The length took some getting used to but I like it. I'm 6'1" and fairly slender, anything but a medium just drowns me. So it was odd to have a shirt actually come past my belt. But once I got over that it might be the best fitting shirt I have ever owned.
I am 6' 1" and 180 lbs and the XL was the size I got. I have washed it about 3-4 times to get it to shrink. Overall the shirt is great with a perfect fit other then length. The sleeves and rest of the shirt are the right size but it is just about 6 inches too long even after washing. However, the length is great if you plan on tucking it in.
I was excited to sport my backcountry tee but alas it is built for strech mcghee. I have broad shoulder but I am only 5'9" and the shirt fits well in teh shoulders but comes down almost to my knees.
I LOOOOOOVVVEEEE this shirt. =) FIrst of all, the length, i can admit, i love that it is a bit longer, i'm 6'6" 225lbs, and the large is perfect. Nice athletic cut. I wear it hunting all the time, just because i can tuck it in. It even went past my crotch the first time i put it on and pulled it down. But, now that its washed and dryed, it actually goes just past my belt, and covers my crack when i sit down, unlike 75% of the clothes that i purchase online that become belly shirts after my gf decides to dry them. Super soft and comfy, looks good, a must for any movie night or camping trip. THANK YOU BACKCOUNTRY, for making a tshirt that fits a tall and athletic/military body. I have bought multiple of the same colors, just because i love these shirts so much. (pics me geocaching/hiking)
I know that the perfect T-Shirt is very subjective, but in my opinion this is the best fitting shirt I've ever owned. The length is an issue out of the package, but after a wash AND dry, it is amazing. I have washed and dried this shirt about 6 times, and after the first time, the length has not changed. It is the only shirt I have that has not turned in to a "short/fat". I am 5'11" 165 lbs, and the L is my size. If you have your belly button pierced and want to show it off, this isn't the shirt for you, but other than that, there's no reason for you to not buy this shirt.
They are soft! Unfortunately, they size similar to the Euro size--so they're about a size of two smaller than the US version. I just know they're going to shrink even more after I wash them. :( They're also organic cotton--so that's nice.
so i'm 6'3'' and have a lot of trouble finding tee shirts that don't look short and goofy on me, and i have finally found some. i got an XL and it was a little tall at first, but after washing it once it fit perfectly.
backcountry-- PLEASE keep making these shirts tall! all those who are complaining about them being too tall, just wear one of the every other tee shirt in the world that fits normally!
i've already told all my tall buddies to check out the backcountry/tramdock tee shirts. its really hard to find tall shirts like this and i'll be really bummed if they start making them normal sized again.
The tshirt is exaclty as pictured. The length of the shirt IS longer than typical. Whether this is good or not up to personal preference. (I personally would prefer a regular length...) I will say it is a nice, soft cotton shirt that will probably last a while...
This is a perfect shirt for me, simple, looks great, has a awesome goat on the front, cheap, comfortable. I'm around 5'10" and I ordered a small and it's the perfect size for me and it's not that long as other people say, just look at the sizing chart and order accordingly, it's a bit longer than my other shirts, but not by a lot, just gotta fold it once, heck the shirt description even says it's not preshrunk and choose size accordingly. Cheap, comfy, looks great, you want more?
These types of shirts are really great quality. I love the cotton, very comfortable. They are definetely slim fit so beware. If you are hefty, it will show. They are very long out of the bag but do shrink up quite a bit and fit nicely afterwards. Overall, it's a great t-shirt.

This is seriously the best t shirt I have ever bought. Super soft cotton, but not super thin like all the lame slim fit tees clogging up my closet floor that got all bagged out and/or shrunk like crazy. I was a little confused by the length when I first opened the package, but one wash and they were perfect. These are definately for the taller and slimmer people, so if you are short and fat you're in luck, 99% of the shirts produced are made to fit you, just not this one. I'm stockpiling these things.
if your on this site you gotta get yourself an original backcountry tee, these things fit so smooth, extra long, and soft, what else could you ask for, and they are cheap! and it's not that thin crappy cotton, they are sturdy shirts
At 5' 8" 165lbs I thought the medium might do. I have a rather wide back and hit the weights a lot which translates into a pretty big chest measurement. The shirt was too tight up top and went down about 4 inches past my crotch. A large would probably fit a bit better but the length would still have been an issue. On the plus side, the fabric was incredibly soft and the shirt looked sick. Too bad it didn't fit.
Whats the deal with the length? Really nice shirt, and the fit is nice. Good slim fit. But the length of the shirt is odd. Im 6'1" and wear a med. t-shirt, and this shirt was almost to my knees. Its really no big deal though, I ran it through the was and it's better, still a bit long but I like it. If you wanted to you could hem it. Regardless, a good price for a nice shirt.
While I love backcountry.com and their products, I gave this 2 stars due to the sizing. While the snugness of the shirt isn't a problem, I found it to be ridiculously long. The medium is a full 4-5 inches longer than any other medium shirt I own. For reference, I'm 6'0", 180 lbs. It just didn't work for me.
I bought the jalapeno one and dig the color. This shirt is seriously long, though. I am 5'11 and pretty stocky (230 lbs or so). The XL fits me like a Large everywhere except in length, where it reaches past the pockets of my jeans. Its not so bad that I won't wear the shirt, but its not the most comfortable one in my lineup.
I'm a tall guy, and this shirt was way too long, even after some pretty aggressive washing. It has a pretty snug fit, which is hit-or-miss depending on your preferences (I have no problem with it, but I'm not sure I would enjoy it if I gained 10lbs). The quality of the material and colors are great, but I can't recommend it because of the length. I'll hem slacks, but a t-shirt?
it was long to begin with which isnt a problem. as sson as i washed it (per directions) the left arm streched out like a 3/4 sleeve base ball shirt and got real tight while the other sleeve remained the same. it also streathed in length again by another easy 2 inches. im only 5'7 so this looks like a mini dress aon me! lol. I like thier products but this one was just poor quality.
I brought a couple of these in the Large after reading the reviews about dress lengths. One of them shrunk to size and the other is too small now. I don't feel that either shirt is still too long after being washed (they were too long before washing them). I am 6'3" 200lb with 42" chest. I plan on getting more but will order XL this time.
Love the GOAT logo size and position on the shirt. I really like the soft material and comfort of the shirt.
So what if it is a little longer, it is a casual shirt! Although they do with stand the abuse that I can throw at them. Maybe I like them because they fit me better than most shirts, or because I get to sport the best dealer out there, I don't know but I could wear these 8 days a week!
After reading the reviews I crossed my fingers (ordered an XL) hoping that that length thing was sporadic or really not that bad....nope, not a chance. I'm 6'3", 205 lbs. and have a long torso and believe me finding tees that aren't too short is a never ending battle. Well this tshirt takes it to the other end of the extreme, daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. Even after washing and drying on high heat it still goes past my arse. It also appears to run a little small as I usually order XL in tees\shirts but this thing was so tight through the chest I felt like I was getting ready for one of those racist A&F ad's where everything is a size or two too small.
Anyways, the fabric does feel great and goats rule but because of the length thing it only got a 3.
I bought these for all of the guys in my family for Christmas.I agree about the long fit, but after a couple of washes, they are perfect!Love the black shirt with the white logo.
Thought I should rep this shirt to show my goat love...be warned though it is tight in the torso if you are a burly or muscular dude, built more for XC racing snakes then mountain men. I usually wear L (tight) or XL (decent) and this XL was painted tight across the chest and shoulders...otherwise nice, it is now my gf nighty
I like it. It does have an athletic fit and may present more man-belly than some might like ⦠but this not supposed to be a hip-hop moomoo. It is long, but I don't think it offensively so. Keeps plumber pass hidden from the world
For starters, I'm 6'2" and athletic with a size 38 chest (I'm a cyclist, not a body builder, ha). This shirt went down to my knees. I could give it to my girlfriend to wear as a dress, but I doubt she'd honestly wear it. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered two of them, but at least I have a couple other items to return so shipping won't suck up the entire cost of the refund.
Shirt is very long Im 6' 1" and it goes to mid thigh if i pull it down. Would be good for climbing if you like your shirt to stay under your harness!! Wicks sweat but tends to hold it a bit more than synthetics. Shrinks a bit when washed. I have rather broad shoulders and the Large is a bit tight so I may return it but over all its pretty good.
Decent shirt: good quality, good looks, good fit, but it's way too long! I bought a small (I'm 6'1" 155 lbs.), it fits well (not too snug, not super loose), but the shirt is about 6 or 7 inches too long. Good if you like extra long shirts or if you like the option of not having to wear shorts.
I read the reviews that said the shirt was long, so I was expecting that, but most reviews said it was also fitted. I've got to disagree with this one. I'm a pretty small guy (5'8" 140lb) and always wear a small, but this shirt hangs on me like the computer guy down the hall wears his shirts, even after washing and drying. It did shrink quite a bit, but not enough to fit. It still fits like a medium, huge sleeves (I wear a small, and apparently unexpectedly, my arms are in proportion with my body, I don't need hulk sized arm holes), and enough fabric in the torso to fit an Olsen in there with me. This is my first experience with backcountry shirts, though I have bought jackets of the brand that have fit great. So for anyone in my position, if you like the fit of a backcountry jacket, buy a size down for the shirt if you want it to be fitted. The material and colors are spot on though, just wish it fit.
These shirts were designed with the idea of addressing the "short fat" sillouette that many tee shirts suffer from today. These Tees are Longer than normal, but they will shrink after one wash to the perfect fit - see the dimensions below. I wear a large in most tee shirts, and after one wash (no dry) the large in the tee was PERFECT! This product is NOT PRE-SHRUNK at the factory. The Pre-Wash, and Post-Wash Size chart is:
Small: Length, Pre 31" Post 27" Width, Pre 20.5" Post 18.5" Med: Length, Pre 32" Post 28" Width, Pre 21" Post 19" Large: Length, Pre 33" Post 29" Width, Pre 21" Post 19" XL: Length, Pre 34" Post 30" Width, Pre 22" Post 20"
These shirts are amazing, when you first get them they will be super duper long but after two washes they will fit just fine, these things are amazing though so don't send um back just wash um!
This is one of the best fitting shirts i have, it does have a slim cut to it and is a bit longer, which works for us that are skinny tall lanky people. Over all great shirt, simple logo, BUY IT!
Last years Goat performance Tee shirts rocked. Soft, comfortable, good looking, and performed. This years versions are none of those. I wanted to order a bunch more but when I received the first order I returned them all. The current ones are a "slick not soft" feel. Not versatile in their look. Very disappointing. What were you guys thinking?
I really don't understand the sizing here. I wear a men's l-xl. Bought these in xl. Way to tight on my beer gut and way to long. Would make a great sleep shirt for your girlfriend I guess!!! Other friends of mine from work ordered these as well and had the same sizing experience.
Suuuuuch a nice shirt, it just sucks that they did a terribly job with the sizing. It's athletically-cut though, so after it shrinks a good deal in a couple washes, the bottom is tight enough to grip right below the belt line so it doesn't look that long. If that isn't enough, just cutting off a couple inches and re-hemming it is simple enough, especially if you have a good woman in your life. The material is crazy soft, pleasantly thicker than most t's, and jalapeno is a sweet color, just like in the pictures. Oh yeah, I'm 6' 175 lbs.
lol...when I opened up the bag and this looooong shirt fell out I just started laughing. I know that BC has a sense of humor and demands the same from their customers, but this is the single strangest piece of clothing I have ever owned. I ordered large and the sleeves/shoulders are actually closer to a medium but the bottom hem is comically long. Now getting to the review title..my girlfriend saw the cute goat logo dead center and felt the soft cotton and nabbed it to use as a nightshirt. She is only 5'3 so I expect it will be more of a gown on her....no matter, I don't have pants deep enough to tuck this monster in anyway. BC should market these as womens nightgowns..
This shirt is definitely on the long side. I bought it for my boyfriend, who can be picky about the length of his shirts. Normally, I think he is crazy - but this one is actually too long. If he pulls it down it covers his butt, If I wore it, I could belt it and wear it as a dress. But....the rest of it (especially the chest) fits him well and if he lets it bunch up towards his waist, the shirt works. And after all, it does have the goat!
Good looking shirt. Would be perfect, but like the majority of people here said it is LONG. I am 6'1'' 205lbs and got an XL and i'm not kidding when i say the shirt stops at mid thigh. I thought i got defect but after reading these reviews i see that is just the way they are made. To bad, i would by another if it was not for the freakish length of the shirt.
Man whe i put this shirt on it was way too lang and my girlfriend made fun of me because it went past my butt. I'm 6'4" and have an athletic build. The shirt fits really well everywhere else but, it was too long. I washed it a couple time now and it fits great. just give it a chance. I love that the fabric is really thick.
I ordered the shirt in a medium and washed it in cold water, thinking it would be a little sung...I'm 5'8" 170 lbs.. and turns out it was big on me so I went back and washed it in cold water to shink it down a bit. the shirt rocks for just about anything...I run in it mostly.. i think it's just kinda hit or miss with this shirt, but I would still say get it if your heart is set on buying this one.
I'm 6'3" 180lbs I bought the large size and it is an awesome fit, long enough to cover my full torso and then some. The shirts are a slim fit after I washed them but thatâs what I was looking for (XL might not have been a bad size for me either). These are a better fit for me than many other t-shirts that only increase the width of the body as the sizes get larger so I can fit two of me inside the shirt but still not have the bottom on the shirt reach my waist line. On top of being an awesome fitting shirt the material is quality, soft and comfortable. Hopefully Backcountry will put out additional colors.
Nice quality but the sizing is off. I normally wear an xl and ordered a xxl because some of the feedback on the shirt and it's still too small. Others are correct on the length. Maybe they need to take a little off the length and add it to the width. By the time I send it back I'll have way too much money in it.
Same deal as everyone else, I'm 5'7 and 170 and usually get by just fine with a Medium. The chest isn't too bad but it's easily 5 inches too long. If your a long torso kinda fit, I'd recommend it. But I think it's a little too long for most.
This shirt was extremely long when I first tried it on, but after one wash it fits great. It is a little bit tighter than a normal t-shirt, so if you like a loose fit I would suggest ordering a size up. I got it in two colors (Slate and Jalapeno) and the Slate looks just like the pictures. The Jalapeno color is identical, but the goat is a green color that almost blends in with the shirt. Great fit, feel and extremely comfortable. Just give it a good wash to fix the length problem.
I love this shirt, it doesn't even shrink, it holds its color, the neck is perfect, I'm 5'9 and I wear a medium and it fits like a glove. I would highly suggest this shirt if your looking for a quality price point friendly tshirt!!
I love how long this shirt is! Its also a slim fit so I don't feel like I am wearing one of those sumo suits. The fabric is soft, the goat is nice and you can't see my underwear when I bend over. Thank you BC.com!
...or if you are just naturally tall and emaciated, this is the shirt for you. I suppose you'd also like it if you like your clothes painted on. Otherwise, keep shopping. Other than the fit, the shirt is nicely constructed and very soft.
Like most others say, this is definately on the long side. Washing it helps for sure, and I like the length of it after a few washes. It fits pretty slim as well. I'm 6 foot 165 lbs and the Large is a pretty tight fit
Love how this shirt is skinny throughout and has a lot of length to it. I am 6'3" with a disproportionately long torso and it's really hard to find a shirt that likes to hang out near the waist band of my shorts. This shirt does it. The wool fabric is a little too hot for this Spring weather for me.
I wouldn't get this shirt unless you are looking for a very very long T. These shirts just don't fit me right and I almost never have an issue with t-shirts fitting me. I am 6'3 200. They are extremely long and slim fitting. Poorly done by bc.com in my opinion. Don't get this shirt unless you are very tall and lanky or a very skinny hip hopper.
nothing beats cotton for kickin it. where a performance tee for working out, running, but to chill and sport the goat, organic cotton is it. The length is long on these, but beware, these are not PRESHRUNK. large will shrink almost 4 inches after wash and low heat dry.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because of the sizing. These shirts run a little snug. If you're looking for a loose fitting shirt then I would suggest sizing up one size. That being said though this is a great shirt, I have one in all 3 colors. Has a lot of style and very minimalist with the small goat on the chest. Has shorter sleeves than some other t-shirts but not too bad. All in all it's a great shirt.
