Burton Q Snowboard Boot - Women's

As Burton's stiffest women's boot, the Q Snowboard Boot responds immediately to your every whim. Big mountain line? No problem. Backcountry playground? Easy fo' sheezy. These boots support and cushion no matter what type of terrain you attack. Burton designed the Qs with Speed Zone lacing for true zonal control, better foot wrap, and a pinch-free fit. Their heat-moldable Imprint 3 liners feature EVA footbeds for shock-absorption, and the B3 gel cushioning disperses impact without breaking down. This super supportive snowboard boot employs Burton's True Fit Construction, which means that every section—from the articulating cuff to the lightweight outsole—integrates with Burton bindings for a separated-at-birth fit. - Fall 2009.

Bottom Line: Takes the whole mountain in stride—no questions asked.

Where are the laces?!?!?!?

By:
April 6, 2009

This boot sounded like a great idea; speed zone lacing and all. Not the case. The tongue bit the top of my right foot to the point of numbing. The laces decided to loosen up and not stay locked in place while I was at the top of a run. With all the slop in the boot (from the laces not tightening properly) I did cartwheels down a double black; luckily, I didn't get hurt. These boots would be great if actual laces existed!!! The stiffness of the boot was perfect- too bad you can't make it stay on. Another bad Burton product :(

I'm an advanced rider currently riding Burton Sapphires which I love, but they are pretty worn out with about 75+ days of riding. I mostly ride trails and trees and don't spend too much time in the park. I'm considering upgrading to the Q or Supreme but am a little concerned about upping the stiffness factor so much. I understand the pro of more control but is there a compromise with comfort or any other reason I shouldn't change?

There are lots of stiffer boots out there that are still comfy!!! Just make sure the inner liner is cushy enough to kill any hot spots! I hated the Q's just because the laces don't stay tight and the liner is too hard; like cardboard surrounded by a bit of foam.

These boots are great, they give you the best control. They stay true to being the stiffest womens boot Burton makes.

They'll have boomerang-shaped foam pieces you can insert into the boot to tighten it on your heels a bit.

Stiff is the key word

By:
March 23, 2009

I recently upgraded to the Burton Q from my 2006 Sapphires. The stiffer Q boots make for a completely different riding experience. These boots are much more responsive, which makes it easier for tight turns but eliminates the smooth feeling of cruising down the mountain that I had with my old boots. It took about an entire day to get used to the difference in responsiveness, but eventually I think I'll like them better as I get more accustomed to riding with them. I usually wear a size 8 shoe but I bought them in 8 1/2 and I'm glad I did, as my toes still touch the end. The lacing system is pretty awesome compared to standard laces. Overall, an excellent, high quality boot.

I would recommend getting a 9. They are pretty true to size.

Cozy

This is a super comfortable boot with a lot of support. It has a Therm-IC pre-wired liner, but DOES NOT come with a battery pack. A nice option if you want to spend the extra $$.

Bangin' Boot

By:
February 10, 2009

I'm a girl that typically shops for boarding boots on the men's side of the aisle because I can't find a boot that is stiff enough...alas, no more! I LOVE these boots, and now realize what I was missing by trying to wear men's boots. At first when I got them, I ordered 1/2 a size up because Burton women's boots have always seemed too small to me. When the boots arrived, my toes were pressed pretty far into the front of the boot but after riding them 2-3 times they started to pack out and the comfort and control set in and fron there on out, the Q boots were positively delicious. Now, after about 1/2 a season of twice per week riding, the boots are positively heaven for my feet, no matter what the weather. They are rugged, warm, and have held up so far quite nicely for a season of demanding riding. On a final note, I have the white, and have had no issues with discoloration, so if you're craving the white, stomp on! :)
