The Burton Men's Cargo Snowboarding Pant gives you room to stash your gear and reliable protection from the elements. This shell is waterproof and fully seam-sealed so you won't get water soaking through—even if you spend all day sliding down the hill on your butt. Stretch boot gaiters seal out the snow and trap your body heat. Mesh-lined inseam vents open to quickly dump heat during a hike, or leave them open to feel cold air pumping through your nether regions—if that's your kind of thing. Burton made the Cargo Pants with a welded Flash Pass pocket so you don't lose your season pass, and Burton's short and tall inseam lengths let you dial in your fit. *Available for US Shipment Only. - Fall 2008.
Bottom Line: Get classic snowboard style and function in Burton's Cargo Pant.
Got these late in the season on sale in mocha. Perfectly waterproof after a 9-4 romping in the semi-slush that was Taos in mid-March. Great room for all your stuff in the huge pockets which are positioned perfectly for access on the chair. The vents truly came in handy in the hot weather but could be useful during a hard day of winter boarding. Can't wait to try them out on a colder day! Very impressed with these! Only issue was I probably bought a size too big.....My fault!
In person, what do the pacific blue pants look like (color wise)? I posted a pic. In person does it look more like the color of the pants on this site or the color of the pants that i attached.
These pants are really comfortable with a lot of pockets and features. One great feature is the pass holder in the left cargo pocket. I also really like that they are vented. There are a couple of short comings from Burton on these pants. The gaiters do not have snap closures, so pulling them over your boots is hard/annoying. The only other thing i find annoying, and almost every pant has this, is that the vents are on the inseam of the pant. As a snowboarder when you sit or slide on your edge the snow spray shoots in the vents. Nice when you need to cool off, otherwise cold and annoying. Foursquare does a great job with where they put their vents. Still awesome pants though!
So I'm looking to buy these pants, but i don't know whether to buy them in large or XL. I am 5'11 and weigh 145. I'm looking for a pretty baggy fit, cause i need to satisfy the gangsta style most freestyle skiers are showing off. I kind of want to go with XL, but I'm not sure if the snow pants will engulf me... Will they be too huge? I was thinking if i adjusted the internal waist band or wear a belt, they probably wont fall off my but. Finally, How accurate is the pacific blue coloring on the website, are they a little bit lighter outside? Thanks
The pants are perfect. I can't find a single thing to knock them on. They are warm, have lots of pockets, easy to put on and fit great. If you are trying to decide between these and another kind... go with these. You won't regret it.
for the Burlap Twill Plaid pants....are those stripes all brown and dark brown...or is there some black in there.....i gotta black jacket... obviously not the best to match brown haha
They aren't tight or too baggy, but they are loose and feel great. They are very waterproofed and have had no problem in the wetter snow. They look nice and feel even better so don't think twice about buying them!
they look cool but they aren't waterproof enough for me. after a full day of snowboarding and sitting on my *ss the whole day on the chairlift my butt was soaked. but at least they look cool
would these pants connect to a Burton Quattro jacket or a Burton Shaun White Ice Wizard jacket? the details say nothing about any kind of jacket-to-pant interface.
There is jacket to pant compatibility. There are fabric loops on the hip sides and i believe centered in the back so that most Burton jackets can use the button loops to attach. Hope that helped.
Staying dry shouldn't be a problem considering the 10k waterproofing, and the fully taped seams. As far as staying warm in the 10 degree days, it's probably going to require some layering on your part. A pair of underarmor pants, or sweat pants, etc. underneath these and you should be good to go.
These pants are what Burton calls a "Sig Fit" which makes them a little baggier. Therefore this also makes them them a little longer. You can also always get a size bigger which will be longer, and then just cinch them up with the internal waist adjustment. As far as the 'tall fit' that Burton advertises on their website, I don't see available here.
