The Burton Men's Esquire Jacket brings a slew of dignified weather-protection features to your defense when you decide to ride through the nasty and brave tarnishing your regal complexion. With a fully seam-taped, waterproof, breathable, coated two-layer Dryride Durashell, the Esquire Jacket holds off blowing snow or wet spring slush (and catches the eye of refined cougars). Thermacore insulation makes the Burton jacket toasty enough for mid-season riding, and mesh-backed Underarm zips provide ventilation in warmer conditions. Not leaving comfort behind, Burton also added its Advanced Lining System to give this jacket an incredible feel that maximizes warmth distribution, and eliminates swampy discomfort. - Fall 2008.
Bottom Line: Weather won't stop you from enjoying a day of riding when you bring the stately Burton Esquire Jacket along.
I just ordered the Radical Green color, haha wow it looks nothing like the picture. If you get it, expect to look like a giant stick of wrigley's chewing gum going down the hill. Im actually pretty stoked it turned out to be this extreme. Also ordered the brilliant blue for my roomie and its not as extreme as the picture shows. the jacket seems really warm and it looks like its going to be great on the slopes, cant wait to really test it out in a couple months.
My friend has the white esquire jacket, but unlike the picture it doesn't have black pinstripes, they are just sewn in white. Will the blue esquire actually have black stripes? Also, is the actual blue color brighter or darker than the picture shown cause I heard they are way different.
Has plenty of pockets, keeps you warm and dry, and doesnt weigh 20lbs. The pinstipes look good also, I wear mine all winter even away from the mountains. Fits true to size and you cant beat the price
I just got the radical green Esquire Jacket, and let me tell you, radical doesn't even come close. Let's just say NEON green. That pretty much covers it. The color took me by surprise, but I have gotten tons of compliments on the mountain, already. The design of the Esquire is outstanding. The pockets are nice and deep, and it has a hidden media pocket that is very accesible. All in all, this jacket is 5 stars, if your into 80's neon.
I was holding out for more discount...but Burton and TNF don't get alot of discounts on this site or the internet. Finally my size and color went below 20 left so i bought it.
ITs warm, soft and velvety on the inside, has a few pockets, only the ones u need, IPOD, CHest for random shit, hand warmers, and goggle pocket. nice and baggy im 6'4 235 and this jacket in xl fits hecka steezy. the blue is almost true in the picture, its a little lighter, as if the color in the picture was faded. i cant get over how nice the inside is. it has the hookups for headphones, just an all around sweet jacket.
now i go back to this after the season and after 17 days, the zipper ripped off so fuck this shit
I purchased the Bright White from backcountry.com @ $140. Extremely happy with my purchase. Even though I chose the 7-10 day free shipping option, it actually shipped out the very next day and was delivered just 3 days after I clicked the "buy" button. As for the jacket, it's very nice. I already tried it on in a brick and mortar store so I knew what I was getting. As mentioned, the stripes on the Bright White are rainbow colored. From a distance, they look like normal pinstripes, but up close, you can see the colors. It's subtle, yet funky - which is why I chose this jacket.
