Black Diamond Raven Ice Axe with Grip - 2007

Black Diamond engineered the Raven Ice Axe with a rubber bottom grip to increase comfort and security on steep terrain. This rubber gives you a better grip when you're swinging the Raven on a 60-degree neve and it insulates your hands from the aluminum shaft. The Raven features Black Diamond's ultra-comfortable hourglass-shape head for more mellow terrain, and it comes with a Slider Leash.

Bottom Line: Updated axe for classic alpine climbs.
