Black Diamond Patrol Mitt - Women's - 2006

Black Diamond created the Women's Patrol Mitts for sub zero days in the mountains where technical performance and durability are paramount. Black Diamond used Pittards goatskin to construct the Patrol Mitts' shell for durability and grip. Then they added warm PrimaLoft insulation concentrated on the back of the hand to eliminate bulk in the palms. These women's mittens are completed with waterproof breathable BDry inserts to keep your hands dry.

Bottom Line: Take on the mountains with the Black Diamond Women's Patrol Mitts.

Weird wrists

By:
March 13, 2009

Maybe its my big hands, but the elastic at the wrists hardly made it to my wrist. It is not very tight elastic either. I would prefer some sort of velcro strap. I also feel like the gauntlet is too short and narrow for any kind of winter sport. No way will it fit over my jacket nor keep the snow out.

My wife loves 'em

By:

My wife used to have cold hands, even on moderate days, but in the last cold spell in UT she was very happy.

Stay Warm!

By:
January 28, 2008

My wife's xmas list said "the warmest mittens ever," and I think I made the right decision. I bought these mittens for one reason, I purchased my Black Diamond mittens in 1996 and they are still the best piece of equipment I have ever owned. I have been riding with my mittens for 12 years and they still show no signs of wear! I hope her's stand the test of time as well, but for now her hands are toasty warm on cold days! Warm = More Fun!

Warm but not a great cuff design.

By:
February 20, 2009

These mittens are warm (I always have cold hand issues), especially with a glove liner inside on super cold Colorado days, without being too poofy, so I'm happy there. My one big complaint, though, is design--there needs to be a gauntlet on the cuff so it's easier to get over the sleeves of my jacket and to really keep the snow out. As they are, they're too narrow to get over the sleeves, and too wide to easily get my sleeves over the glove. It makes it pain to take them on and off. I'm going to keep them, but I'm going to have a gauntlet put onto them, and an elastic wrist strap too. Both of those should be automatic in the design process! (Don't the BD designers test the fit of their gloves WITH a jacket???)

Love 'em. Very warm

If you have cold hands like me, you'll want these. I have a size 7 hand, always buy L in driving gloves. I bought these in a L--they fit perfectly; tips of my fingers to the end and the elastic is right at the wrist.

Perfect

By:

I adore these mittens. I use them for urban winter cycling, and so far this season (lows in the single digits F) I've had toasty warm, dry hands. They are true to size (I measured my hands before buying!) and comfy. I especially like the way I can tighten the tops of the mittens for extra protection from the elements.

Very good feeling mitt but it scraped my wrists unless I wore glove liners.

Mega warm!!

By:
December 4, 2008

I swear I have the coldest hands ever!!!! These mittens are sooo warm! My hands were sweating on a 15 degree day...way better than freezing for a change! I kinda wish they had wrist straps so not to lose them on the lift, but I made my own from elastic.

Too short!!

By:
November 21, 2008

No doubt these would probably be warm, but not when your fingers & thumb are crammed to the very tip of them!
The Large is as big as these get, and sizing says lenght: 7.25-7.5in. Which is me! too bad I need to return them, will go back to guys sizes, I just want warm fingers this ski season!
