Do you ever leave your headlamp to behind save weight? With the 1.6oz Black Diamond Cosmo, you'll never be caught in the dark again. This compact headlamp uses four SuperBright LEDs inside a tiltable head to light the way when your day in the outdoors runs into overtime. Powered by three AAA batteries in the front housing, the Cosmo even has a removable headband for times when you need a light, but don't need it strapped to your head.
I had the same problem with my spot, until I discovered the secret. Just angle the light all the way down, like you were going to look at your feet. Push just a bit further and you'll hear a click. The little positioning tab acts as an opener, and the battery case will pop open
we have only ever had torches when camping, and these headlamps are awesome. makes life so much easier when you need to complete a task with two hands. the light provided is perfect for getting things done around the campsite. its nice how you can adjust the angle of the beam so you dont blind your fellow campers! great idea, wish we had bought them sooner!
This is the same product as the women's Moxie, just in different colors. I'm impressed with how darn bright this is and how comfortable it is to wear. The adjustable beam works much better than expected. It's also really stable walking around. Haven't tried it on my bike yet. The problem I have with it is the case design. Getting the battery cover off is really hard and I worry I will break it. Getting the cover back on is easier, but it's easy to catch the flexible hinges in the cover when you close it, too. The multi-position switch is a massive pain. On and off is easy. However, getting the switch partway depressed to go into the "special" modes takes a careful touch and quite a bit of getting used to. Screwing with a temperamental device on a trail in the dark is not my idea of fun. They really need to rework the case on this.
I purchased this L.E.D. headlamp for a use that not everyone would know about. This light fastens directly to the headband of my fire helmet, and you talk about being able to see in a smoke filled environment, this is the cats meow! So just imagine using it as it was intended! Great product!
First, I have to admit that this is the only LED headlamp that I have tried. I bought one for myself and one for my dad. They work great! It is light, fits comfortably, and best of all, lights the area that you need. It has a decent cone, so you don't feel as if you have tunnel vision. Also, it has batteries included.
The headlamp is all that you expect: bright light, sits on your head. It's a bit on the heavy side but still lighter than most. The light reaches a long way. The only thing that keeps guy from perfect is that it's too easy to turn on. When sitting in your bag, it may get pushed on and before you know it, your battery is gone.
