Great package for all climbers, not just starters. I use it and it is extremely comfortable, even on a lead fall. Definately 5/5 stars on this one. And you can't go wrong with the carabiner, belay device, and chalk bag that comes with it. It's all the best!

This is a great beginner harness. It fits extremely well and is easily adjustable. The package it comes with makes it ready to go.

New to climbing and not sure what to buy? Go with this package and a pair of shoes and you will be very happy. The harness is much more comfortable than the all nylon ones you may have tried and adjusts easily. The belay device is the standard for the business and the locking biner is nerve calmingly burley. Throw in the chalk ball and bag (as they did) and you, my sweaty fingered friend, are on your way.

This is my first harness and I'm starting to love it!! Very comfortable and easy to store, use and wear. It seems to be very resistant, although the carabineer included appears to be safe, but sometimes you have to extra tighten it. The ATC and the chalk bag are cool too. Excellent for beginners like me!

I just started climbing and don't know a ton about the gear, but this has all you need to get started. The harness is super comfortable and simple and you can't beat the deal. I took a good fall lead climbing with the harness and didn't experience any discomfort. It's nice with the adjustable harness, because it can be used when you have multiple layers of clothing on (for example, if you want to use it for ice climbing). Everything else is pretty basic and works well, but I'm very satisfied with the quality of Black Diamond.

The momentum harness is very comfy and is working very well for me. All the straps are easy to adjust and fit well into their designated places, keeping them out of the way. Good job BD, I look forward to using more of your products as I get more into climbing.

I bought this for my younger brother and it has worked out really well (so well I actually got another for myself). It's a comfortable harness, and comes with some nice accessories. If you're just getting started with climbing, this is probably a good way to go.

I brought this for my partner, as he had requested lots of individual climbing items. However, I saw this set, and it was perfect! He is very pleased with it, and it does look great!

The harness is really comfortable to sit in and to fall in. I think the carabineer is great, as is the belay device, but I feel that the kit lacked because it only had one carabineer. The chalk bag closing was not elastic enough when I wanted to close it more securely and still fit my hand in the bag. It would have been cool if the kit came with a rope and/or in a backpack.

This harness package is everything that it says it is! It is a great deal. If you are a beginning climber, it will have everything you need to be geared up. This will last you for awhile before the need to purchase any new gear if you ever want to upgrade. If you haven't shopped here before, you will not regret it.

I just started climbing last winter. I'd been renting from the gym since this. Finally, my friend suggested me to buy the gear. I looked up on the internet and found this package, which covers pretty much all of what I need. As an indoor climber, I don't need much luxury for the safety. The harness is very comfortable to wear. I'm happy with it.

I really like my new harness. It's very comfortable. One thing I noticed was that you have to keep in mind that the waist size is true to fit. If you like it a little looser, get one size larger. The strap for the chalk bag was a bit ghetto as it was a thin piece of string but I replaced it with a biner and strapped it to my harness. I highly recommend this harness for beginners.

I picked up the Momentum harness and basic package because I left my original gear in Colorado and wanted to do some climbing in little cottonwood canyon. The harness fits well, and is totally functional. I was very surprised how much I liked the momentum, and have now actually passed on my other harness to my brother. Go black diamond!
