Backcountry Access Stash Rider Backpack - 1150cu in - 2006

The Backcountry Access Stash Rider Pack, with a70oz reservoir, is a fully integrated, snowboard-specific winter hydration pack. The Stash Rider offers a simple, dedicated snowboard attachment system. The hose and bite valve are neatly stashed inside a well insulated shoulder strap where they're kept warm by body heat to ensure you'll have water to drink on cold winter days. Storm-proof zippers all around ensure the contents of the Stash Rider stay dry and secure. When traditional hydration packs have turned to ice cube trays, you'll be drinking water and staying hydrated. Awesome Hydration/Backpack

What an awesome pack. Just returned from a week in Breckenridge and everyone who saw it asked where I got it. It held a large quantity of water (which is easily accessible) and had plenty of room for gear, including a zipper pocket on the back that I could reach around and get my walkie talkie. My son used it to carry his skis when he hiked to the top of the mountain. It was very comfortable to wear and I didn't have any problems taking/getting off lifts. I highly recommend this backpack!

I tried on several different packs at my local store, and saw this one there. It looked the best, and seemed to be a very well built pack. I have used it a few times already, and it works great. It is just the right size I need for snowboarding, but beware, 1150 is not very big. I had no problems with the tube freezing at all the last time I went up when it was 25 degrees out. I have not actually hiked with my board strapped on the pack, but I did try it out, and it works good.
