Atlas Dual Trac 8 x 22 inch running snowshoes - 2004

Atlas designed the Dual-Trac 8 x 22in Snowshoe for winter trail running and racing. The asymmetrical anatomical harness securely cradles the arch and ball of your foot while allowing natural ankle articulation for a relaxed running stride. Atlas' Spring-Loaded suspension system keeps your heel centered, even on sloped ground, ensuring traction and balance while eliminating shin bang, shoe drag, and heel twist. Dual crampons provide drag-free traction up and down slopes and across flats. The extended titanium toe crampon (DT and DTSL) and heel cleats (DTSL only) are the lightest available today and offer excellent push off and grip. The Dual-Trac comes with lightweight abrasion-resistant Duratek decking, while the Dual-Trac Super Lite features a premium urethane deck that is 33% lighter than the competition. The ultralight, super-strong Easton 7075-T7 aluminum frame has a tapered symmetrical shape that offers maximum stability and balance without interfering with your natural stride.

Great Training

As an avid trail runner I was new to the sport of snowshoe running. These snowshoes have made the summer to winter transition in Alaska a stroll in the park. They’re light, comfortable, and make for a great cross-training tool. Enjoy!
