Arc'teryx Strato Fleece Jacket - Men's

The Arc’teryx Men’s Strato Fleece Jacket provides excellent midweight insulation for skiing, hiking, and climbing, and the clean look will probably make it your around-town jacket as well. Arc’teryx used Polartec Thermal Pro Cobble fleece for a unique style and to give this jacket better snow shedding and moisture wicking performance. The Strato also includes a DWR finish to keep this thing from soaking up moisture, and stretch-knit cuffs to hold your sleeves in place.

Bottom Line: Everything you could want from a fleece.

I'm 5'10"- 170 lbs.- Just got the medium. This jacket fits like it was custom made. The arm and waist length are perfect for fitting under my TNF Mountain Guide shell. The Polartec cobble material is definitely high-end, light weight, comfortable, and works great for around town wind and rain too. I'll report back to see how it stacks up to the ski & mountain season.

Which jacket is the warmest arc'teryx layering piece? I'm

Which jacket is the warmest arc'teryx layering piece? I'm looking as the strato, hercules, and atom. Ideally, I'd like it to shed water too.

Sounds like you're looking for the Arc'teryx Hercules. The warmest layer is the Delta SV, but has no weather resistance by it's self.

I just got the Arc'teryx Strato, and it is made from a fleece like none other. It's got a cool texture that looks like a knit sweater crossed with a fleece. The Strato fits a bit closer than my Covert, and hence, layers better. Also, the stretchy cuffs are really low-profile so it's not bulky on the wrist when it's under my shell. The fabric seems like it will maintain it's smooth appearance because it's a really tight weave. Pretty classic looking, and you don't look like an outdork when you wear it around town. I'm actually surprised it only costs a bit more than the old TNF Denali, cause it's way nicer.
