Arc'teryx Sidewinder SV Pant - Men's - 2007

The Arc'teryx Men's Sidewinder SV Pants pack the weather protection of three-layer, waterproof breathable Gore-Tex Pro fabric and the features needed for a great day of backcountry skiing. The Sidewinder SV Pants' thigh vents help you stay cool on the approach while integrated gaiters keep snow from filling your boots as you posthole up the final ridge. Close the WaterTight zippers on the vents, and drop into your line of choice as the articulated knees on these Arc'teryx pants provide the freedom of movement to get the most out of the fresh snow. A RECCO reflector may help ski patrol find you in the event of an avalanche.

Bottom Line: Get the most out of fresh pow days with the high-performance Arc'teryx Sidewinder SV Pants.

Great pants

Great pants, the only drawback is that they are a bit wide around the ancles, might be good when you go alpine skiing, but they make a swiching sound when you going hiking.

What should you wear under these pants to be warm enough, since there's no insulation? Thanks.

Depends on how hard you work. I'm usually fine wearing running tights or sweat pants under my uninsulated MH Defiant pants. However, I board in pretty moderate temps. Go with long johns, maybe tights/running pants over that. Or, if you've got fleece pants, wear those. Bring a spare layer with you (hiking pants, sweats etc) just in case.

Arcteryx does it again...with price comes quality

Its hard to justify dropping almost $400 on a pair of pants, hardshell or not, but these pants do everything right. ya, they're simply a gore-tex shell, but the designated reinforcement and stretch allow for spectacular comfort. most importantly...at the end of the runs, there was no water...from sweat or snow

Sidewinder Rules!!

I love these pants! I ski inside the resorts and backcountry hike to areas in storms and on sunny days and have never been either too hot or cold. The fit is perfect allowing plenty of movement. The one pant that does it ALL.
