Arc'teryx Rho SL Bottom - Men's - 2007

The Rho SL Bottom is a nearly weightless addition to your active wardrobe. Made from smooth Italian polyester, the Rho SL can be used as a foundation for outdoor layering or under your wool slacks while at work. These non-binding pants have as few seams as possible to make layering easy and let you forget that they're even there. Choose the ¾ length version for an even better fit with ski or snowboard boots. The inseam is gusseted through the crotch to allow you to move without your underwear taking a ride. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: The Rho SL is a smooth layer for your lower half.

Beautiful

These are beautiful they are very comfortable. They are warm for down to about 30f for me at least. I will sometime throw them under my jeans or even my shorts when going on a run in the cold.

Magic Stuff

Enough warm skintight underwear. Good breathable features. High breathable rate cover two essential features: Cold stress protection with Heat stress prevention. Very light, walking comfort is equal at your work place and during wilderness activity.

Great inbetween layer

By:

These pants are the bomb for cold weather that is in between wearing one layer of pants and doing the all out double layer with the warm thermals underneath. If you don't know, go with these. They are super light weight and offer you that little bit of extra warmth you need without getting your legs too hot. Also I don't think my legs are skinny but these weren't skin tight on me, just a tiny bit loose.

Peter Pan's best kept secret

And you thought it was pixie dust that let him fly. The Rho SL is a great base for cool spring/fall backpacking or cool weather runs. They breath like Karnazes on a 5k run so you can wear them in both warm and cool conditions. No bunching or friction. I wore them comfortably under hiking pants even when temps climbed 60+ in the afternoon sun and then plummeted into the 30s in the evening camp site shade. No fly access but if it's too cold to drop the pants a little then a warmer base would be in order anyway. An active-wear essential.

Rho SL Bottom

By:
February 8, 2006

This is my first Arc'teryx product. I purchased it for bicycle touring, as a base layer for cold or wet, or a light layer when tights are too heavy. At 4oz these are incredibly light and easy to pack. The quality of Arc'teryx is undeniable and these bottoms are so comfortable I really did forget I had them on. They are a pleasure to wear in any condition. Alone, they provide an extra 10 degrees warmth and as a base, they offer unmatched comfort. The material is sheer, so I do not expect them to be abrasion resistant, but for my purposes, they score a perfect 10. They are all ready one of my favorite garments.

thin and sleek with no fly

By:

I may not have read the description carefully enough - but when I got these I was surprised that there was no fly in them. They are like tights - very light and thin. My wife actually wears them instead and likes them.

Arcteric rho SL bottoms

By:

Although I normally prefer wool, I really like these better than any other. They are very lightweight, durable and give just the right ammount of insulation for active use. I go warmer in snow, but use these for everything else. I own all other sorts of pants from wool to polyester and polypro. but these are ALWAYS my go to. Probably the most comfotable. Sorry, no fly...
