Arc'teryx Envoy Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

The Arc'teryx Envoy Long-Sleeve Shirt's casual style hides technical features and materials that provide incredible comfort at the trailhead or the pub. Ultralight Invigor synthetic material stretches as you move, and the ridiculously thin fabric allows airflow to help you stay cool during hot days in the valley. Arc'teryx also added underarm gussets and articulated elbows to the Envoy Shirt, putting even more mobility into your work wardrobe.

Bottom Line: Mountain-ready, but designed for the urban landscape.

Great shirt for hiking in. Good for evenings out too ...

By:

I was looking for a replacement for a North Face long-sleeve hiking shirt, but unfortunately TNF don't make a nice lightweight wicking shirt that is as good as the old one I have [Why do TNF abandon really great designs? This is the 3rd time this has happened to me]. I found the current TNF product line was either too heavy, the sleeves were too short (I'm 6'5'' and XXL sleeves were about 1 inch too short) or I just didn't like the plaid colors.

So despite the fact that these are pretty expensive (thanks to Backcountry the sale made the cost a lot more palatable), I went for 2 of them. The material is lightweight, with great stretch, and I really like the tailoring of the shirt. The shirt tail is pretty long (great for the taller person) and the sleeves are long enough to fit perfectly for me (I normally take a 37.5" sleeve).

The only thing that takes a little getting used to is that it uses poppers (or snaps) rather than buttons. It's not a big thing, but I feel like I'm back in the 70's / 80's ...

On the upside, the shirt is easily the smartest piece of outdoor clothing I have. It's really neat to have a tailored shirt that wicks and is partly showerproof.

I was wondering how it fits the body? Is it really loose or is it snug? I generally like my shirts to fit more on the snug side, so this is the deciding factor in this purchase. Thanks!

Arcteryx sizing runs a little big, you may want to buy a size down for a good fit. Going by the size chart I originally bought a Large, which was huge. Returned for a medium - fits great, not snug but trim, like a tailored shirt. Add the stretch factor and you end up with a very comfortable shirt.

highly mobile button-down shirt. Made with Invigor, a lightweight polyester fabric that has mechanical stretch and keeps you cool when things heat up. Hidden within its urban style are gusseted underarms and articulated elbows for added freedomMechanical stretch fabric for cool feeling summer comfort • Chest pocket with hidden security zip • Colour matched snap closures on front and cuffs • No-lift gusseted underarms • Articulated elbow • Colour matched snap closures on front placket • Patterened for ease of motion • Tonal embroidered bird logo on chest pocket and it weights 238g now the only thing i can't do is to put it around you and see how it would look... just check the sizes for it! If you have a strong built body ofcourse you'll be snug most of the time regardless of the garment...

Don't give 'em this shirt off your back

Love these shirts - both long and short-sleeved versions. They're versatile, light weight but warm, they travel well and they're very durable. Wear 'em to work or play. Looks great too.

Material: Invigor... Okay, it might be invigorating, I'd like to know if it's natural fibers, plastic fibers, hologram, what.

Best travel shirt out there.

Technical enough to take on hikes, stylish enough for a night out. This is the best shirt I have for traveling. Doesn't wrinkle, looks good, and launders easily.

Arc'teryx Envoy SS

An awesome shirt. The ability to dry quickly what really amazes me. The material is tough too. I slid on wet rocks when hiking for about 5m yet it held up well, no abrasions at all. Still looks new when I wore it for a nightout with friends.
Perfect if you bring it to travel as it needs no ironing and doesnt stink after you sweated in the hot sun. If it gets soiled just throw in the washer and hang it. It'll be dry in minutes!
Buy it without any doubt
