Arc'teryx Candidate Pant - Men's

The Arc’teryx Men’s Candidate Pant may look like your average wear-around-town threads, but it packs a whole load of technical features. A blend of nylon and spandex makes these pants plenty tough for hiking and stretchy enough to give you full freedom of movement for climbing. These Arc’teryx pants let you go straight from a day at work to an afternoon of bouldering without missing a single step.

Bottom Line: The do-it-all pants.

The Arc'teryx sizing confuses me a little. If I buy a "36" waste does that mean it only comes in one inseam length. On the size chart if you follow the specs for 36 down the column it says it has a 35 inseam. That actually works out perfectly for me, but I'm just checking... thanks.

I find that it usually works out for me when I trust the sizing charts on bc.com, so it should be good for you too.

Ideal All Around Pants

You almost forget that you have on long pants when wearing the Candidate; it's that comfortable. The Fortius fabric is a pleasure to use and provides a good balance of stretch comfort, wind resistance, and breathability. The 32" waist and 32" length are true to size. The pants launder easily and come out ready to go. They are excellent travel pants and are stylish enough for the occasional foray to a restaurant or opera. The coin pocket is on the left (most are on the right) but it's there and it works. Highly recommended if you want to go one step up from the Rampart pants.

How do these pants hold up to water and wind? Appears to be the same material that is used in their soft shell pants? How about the inseam? Arc'teryx has some tall/long inseams and I need a 35.
