AlpineAire Scrambled Eggs Cooked and Freeze Dried

AlpineAire understands it's hard to pack eggs when you're camping. That's why they've done the legwork for you with their Scrambled Eggs Cooked and Freeze Dried. If you own a cookstove or even just a pot and some matches, these freeze dried and dehydrated meals are the way to go. They're lightweight, compact, and super easy to prepare. The meals are packaged in resealable foil pouches. Most weigh between 5 and 7 ounces and offer 2 servings. To prepare a meal, just add a couple cups of hot water right to the pouch. A few minutes later you're ready to chow.

not a big egg fan but...

These are pretty good, especially with a few dashes of dried chipotle powder. Also, they are not too bad dry, sort of like egg puffs.

I've never been a big fan of freeze dried eggs but I gave these a chance on a recent snowshoe trip as a snack. Very tasty. They cooked up great with minimal preparation & no breakage. They have the competition beat shells down! Try them with tortillas & a little salsa.

I have tried to use the backpacking case to carry eggs with me. Eggs have so much good protein and calories, but they always break. This is a great tasting option to have when you are fed up with your eggs breaking before breakfast on your camping trip.

Rubbery eggs

These eggs only require adding boiling water to the pouch, but I found them to be very rubbery compared to other backpacking eggs I have tried.
