Ahnu Tilden II Sandal - Men's - 2009

Made for the water, the Ahnu Men's Tilden II Sandal provides excellent ventilation and draining along with closed-toe protection for those burly portages. Non-marking soles keep you from scuffing up your raft or kayak. Ahnu used a charred bamboo fabric to give the Tilden II Sandals odor-fighting properties, so your summer footwear doesn't get rank after a couple weeks.

Bottom Line: When you need a little more protection than open-toe sandals.

They're so lite I forget I have them on, but strangely hot for a sandal. Beware, the strap latch is way too fragile. One broke trying on the first pair. I still like 'em.

How would this sandal do for walking or jogging in a swimming pool? Would it slip or stay on?

Nels,With these particular Ahnu you are good to go for walking and taking them in the pool. They have a pretty good fit and will stay on well when fit properly. I would also look at the Salomon Techamphibian as something comparable that has a more secure fitting.Mahalo, Sumo

I've tried every sandal available. I love my chacos, but wanted to get something with more coverage for certain times. These are very comfortable, and fit me well. They are much cooler than keens. They are very light on my feet. Time will tell about durability, but I like them so far. The main dislike is they are harder to get on than some others I have tried.
