Adventure Medical Ultralight & Watertight .9 First Aid Kit
The Adventure Medical Kits UltraLight .9 first aid kit contains all of the important items you need to patch up yourself or a friend in the backcountry. This kit weighs just 9.5 oz, and will fit easily into your pack. It's designed for trips between 1 and 4 days with 1 to 4 people. AMK packs this kit full of multiple sizes of dressings, bandages from adhesives to stockinettes, and cotton tipped applicators. Medications like Diamode, Motrin, antihistamine and After Bite relieve mild symptoms while your miles from civilization. Moleskin prevents blisters from growing, and tons of wound management ointments keep you infection free and heeling cleanly. Tweezers, safety pins and duct tape are always useful.
Bottom Line: Be prepared for anything, without carrying the weight of your entire medicine cabinet.
it's small and light so i take it more often then not. i bought it as my 1st aid kit for adventure races and now i take it on anything over a single day in the backcountry. i like the little pouch it comes in too. it's got all you need for 1 to 4 days with 1 to 4 people.
This is an extremely useful and well designed first aid kit. It's packed in two separate water proof ziplock type durable bags. I had never carried much of a first aid kit in the past, but this one has been useful on a number of occasions already. Definitely worth the cost, space, and weight.
Tweaked my knee halfway through our 15 mile hike and had 2 miles of downhill and 5 miles of uphill and two miles of downhill to go. Never would've made it out of Yosemite before sunset if it wasn't for the neoprene wrap and ibuprofen. You never know what you're gonna need, even for a day hike and this lightweight kit paid off in dividends! Didn't use anything else, but I feel pretty more at ease knowing I have so much at my fingertips.
Really great kit. Everything you need for a couple of days in the backcountry, without the bulk. The design of this kit is very well thought out, it's waterproof, fairly small and light, and useful for just about any outdoor activity.
I like this bag because it has everything I need and it's so lightweight. This is what I throw into my bag when I go for a day hike. I threw in a few extras like pain killers and matches. This is essential for anyone hiking in the backcountry.
Went to The Boundary Waters for a week. Murphy's Law held true and there were no injuries. However, it is a small, lightweight kit that comes with most everything I could need.
At such a small size and weight, you cannot afford not to include this in your pack. I take it hiking, kayaking, skiing, wherever. Adventure Medical packs a bunch of important items in this package. It should be able to handle most minor injuries that might occur. Also, the component come in a water tight sealed bag to protect the contents. It's almost like a ski helmet. Once you start using it, you wonder why you haven't been using it the whole time.
I was given this by a coworker who said i needed it. Which is very true! I have used it many times and it is lightweight. I have it in my skateboard backpack all the time. It comes in waterproof bags so all the stuff is protected. There is a lot of useful things in this first aid kit and enough stuff you can go a while before having to add more stuff. I have put this to good use. I recommend everyone have one!
