Atomic Rainier SL Ski - 2008

The new (for ’09) positive waxless pattern on the Atomic Rainier SL Skis keeps you out of skins for as long as possible on the groomed track or while you venture into the backcountry to find hidden pow stashes. The fairly wide (87/60/78) dimensions and one-and-a-half camber provide a smooth ride and an even flex during the turns on your sweet descent. Metal edges and a positive base pattern that lies above the metal edges securely grip snow on your way up. Pair these nimble skis with a lightweight three-pin boot or heavy-duty BC system and hit the trail.

Bottom Line: Width and sweet sidecut for the ride down.

Great ski. Uesd them in the crust and dust today. They cut well. Used them touring awhile ago. They turned and floated well. Wouldn't trade them for nothing.

Would the Voile 3-pin Hardwires you sell work with the Atomic

Would the Voile 3-pin Hardwires you sell work with the Atomic Rainiers? Any other binding recs for these? Thanks!

Yeah, that's the set-up I have (3-pin cables, actually, on the older negative-pattern rainiers). If you want to use them for turning as well as touring, you may also want to get a voile riser to avoid "boot-out" on firmer snow.

I used these skis today on the crust and dust. They cut great. I used them touring. No problems floating, turned well. All with some stout nnn bindings. Great ski. wouldn't trade them for nothing.
