Atomic Kailas Telemark Ski - 2007

The Atomic Kailas Telemark Ski grants the wish of those who charge the deep off-piste, but want something that can handle the occasional ice sheet in the backcountry or corduroy in the resort. The Kailas Ski rewards those looking beyond the ropes with a soft shovel and supple longitudinal flex for effortless float through the frosted flakes. The Beta Magnesium construction affords rigid torsional flex for surprisingly strong carving purchase and lightweight strength for great float and easy touring. The Atomic Kailas Telemark Ski's raised tail takes the sketch out of gnarly retreats while the tail's flat back allows your skins to stay put.

Bottom Line: Shiva gave the Atomic Kailas Telemark Ski godly powers to levitate in powder and carve the groomers.

Having a hard time choosing a teleski and binding that fits my style. Looking at the K2 world piste and the Atomic Kailas. I basicly ski at New England resorts these days but do take a trip out west every year. I ve been tele sking for about 20years i'm 5'7 140lbs will tackle any terrian or snow condition that looks fun.I ski on a Scarpa T2 What do you think?

I have just a few more years in than you on freeheels and own both the world piste (2years ago model) and the atomic kailas both skis are good and I liked the worlds until I got the atomics but the atomics win hands down as a quiver of one.They don't chatter as much(if at all) as the worlds on icey groomers, they are fatter, lighter and much easier to throw around in the trees and on the steeps, They have a much more predictable feel for me and are easy to ski ( not the typical atomic stay centered or get your @## kicked ski) . I haven't even been on my worlds since I got the atomics I like them that much better. the kailas are kind of like a world piste on steroids. I just bought a 2nd pair at end of season prices even though my worlds are tuned and ready to go. The only thing I am concerned about is will they last as long? Ihave 35 hard days on the atomics this year and they still ski the same as day one we'll see I also us the 7tm power releasables (a little more pricy but much less tham knee surgery
