Armada Coda Fleet Series Alpine Ski - Kids' - 2007

Armada made the Kids' Coda Fleet Series Alpine Ski for those who want to start destroying the park, pipe, and the rest of the piste without breaking mom and dad's bank account. This versatile children's' ski takes your up-and-comer from gliding the greens to punishing the park. Armada's bombproof construction ensures season's worth of use. The Coda Fleet Series Alpine Ski's Fleet Core 3 wood core gives your child a stable, but lightweight platform, which is both nimble and tough enough for hard play.

Bottom Line: Start your child off early with the Armada Kids' Coda Fleet Series Alpine Ski.

I am looking at these skis for my 9 year old son. He is a verry aggressive skier (Big Mountain comps). Would these be a suitable ski and what binding would you reccommend. I have been advised to look at Vokl Mantra Jr. - how would these compare?

I recently put my 8 year old on this ski and it is awesome. He is a very accomplished Jr racer that had outgrown the K2 Juvy that he used for an all mountain ski when not training or racing. We just got back from a week in Colorado and he was able to ski all types of conditions and terrain. It held up pretty well on hard firm conditions that we encountered in the morning after the overnight freeze. It was awesome in busted crud, powder, groomed, and bumps. He even raced Nastar on it and did pretty well. It is not overly wide but wide enough at 76 underfoot to work in just about every condition you may encounter. It is a junior ski that is truly built like an All Mountain adult ski. My younger son will be moving from his Juvy's to this ski next year.
