Armada ARV Series Alpine Ski - 2006

The Armada ARV Alpine Skis are as tough as park boards, as stable as big-mountain sticks, and far cheaper than buying two pairs of skis. This magical ride is brought to you courtesy of hefty dimensions, extra-thick edges, and super-tough base material. Get spinny in the backcountry, and know that a wide twintip tail has your back. Billy-goat over sharp pointy rocks with the confidence that your boards will remain stable underfoot, thanks to higher-density wood reinforcements along the core's edges that make it stiffer than last years ARV. Once you're in the untouched chute of glory, the progressive tip shape will help the ARV float to the top, while the solid flex begs to accelerate. These skis are bomber, and they're the only pair you'll need.

Bottom Line: Take your Armanda ARV Alpine Skis anywhere.

Armada arv 175's

By:
January 9, 2007

I'm 185lbs, 6ft tall and ski the 175's. What a great ski. So light and nimble. I ski Utah and Washington and have taken these on every conceivable type of snow. Super floaty in the pow with seamless transition to variable conditions of any kind. Bomber construction. Rode atomic m:ex's last year so these are comparatively way flexier but still hold well on hardpack though the radius takes a millisecond longer to initiate an edge only turn. The weight difference tho is so very welcome. I paired them with Solomon something or other bindings so they're light as all hell. Buy these skis. This site rules the earth!! Thank you thank you!!!!!

I must say I was happily surprised with my 185 ARV's. I have been getting in some early season riding at Loveland, CO and have no complaints.

ARV does it all

By:
October 16, 2006

This is my favorite everyday ski. I have a quiver of 3 skis and I ended up using this one most the time. It floats great in powder, turns really easily on groomers and trees, and can even ski park well because it is so light. It feels soft when flexing it but the ski is stable at speeds and can hold an edge.
