Arc'teryx Palisade Pant - Men's - 2006

The Arc'teryx Men's Palisade Pant is waiting to explore. These adventurous pants are civilized for cosmopolitan settings and rugged enough for camping. Head to the coast or increase your elevation in the Palisade's well-crafted features. A laminated fly and hem lie smooth to do away with bunching, and they also last longer than stitched construction. Soft chamois lines the waistband to enhance comfort while wearing a backpack. Movement is made easy with a gusseted inseam and contoured fit. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: The pant for the modern-day explorer.

Pants with rough interior texture and likes to wrap around your legs

By:

As another reviewer mentioned, these pants are made in China. (It seems like Arcteryx is now manufacturing most of their "common" wear in China now, but doesn't seem to lower prices... They must have increased their logo price.) Regardless of that, the texture of the pants feels like rough microfiber-wear. Inside there's no soft layer, so the roughness gets your skin unless you are wearing a base layer. But these pants are a tight fit if you wear a base layer. Also, when you sweat, they tend to stick and wrap around your legs, if you know what I mean. However, overall quality of the pants (in terms of construction) is solid. They haven't fallen apart or ripped open at the seams, etc.

Palisade Pants

I've only worn these pants a few times (it's in the 30s-20s these days) but found that they're well-made, very lightweight, and shed muck pretty well.

Not a true Arct'eryx

By:

Many people like Arc'teryx products because of their excellent workmanship and quality in their items. I just got these pants and noticed some stitching coming out from the stretchy belt area. I just cut it out and let it pass for a day, until I checked the tags and saw that these pants, unlike most Arc'teyx items are not made in Canada, but China. The price wasn't lowered and the quality wasn't as good.

Palisade Pant Mens

I have worn this par of pants for two seasons tromping in the Chugach and Keni ranges. They repel water well and dry quickly, very comfortable and durable even under a harness or pack. Made in Vancover, BC. They must be the older model.
