The Arc'teryx Women's Easyrider Jacket keeps you rolling through the gnarliest alpine conditions without a worry—and without weighing you down. The jacket’s tight-knit exterior offers a fantastically high level of wind-resistance, while lightweight high-loft insulation laminated to the interior of the jacket helps keep you from feeling the slightest chill. The interior windflap beneath the front zipper seals out the cold, and the Easyrider’s fuzzy inside gives you a great touch of warmth without sacrificing breathability. The careful pocket placement maintains the jacket’s figure-friendly sleek design. Arc’teryx’s designers pay attention to details like gusseted arm panels that hold the jacket exactly in place when you raise your arms to climb or fiddle with your ski boots. Because your tummy doesn’t want air exposure in any mountain conditions. Save that for the beach.
Bottom Line: Cruise through all conditions without a care in the world, thanks to the Arc'teryx Easyrider Jacket.
As previously reviewed, I generally love all things Arc'teryx. This jacket was a replacement in size for the one purchased last season but not yet warn. This jacket is made differently from the one I reviewed on March 21, 2008. The reason is that it is made in China. The other Arc'teryx one was made elsewhere. BAD MOVE, ARC'TERYX!!!!! There is a change in the quality. Overall most people will probably be ok with this jacket. I'm not sure if I will keep this one. If other Arc'teryx jackets are going to be made in China, I will stop buying them. All of my other Arc'teryx merchandise has been manufactured in Canada and I can tell that the difference. Sad. I have purchased 4 jackets from the Arc'teryx brand and this is the first one I don't like.
Curious if this jacket would be too warm for winter runs? I'm looking for a soft shell with the fleecy inside - so I can wear over a t-shirt in 0 - 20 degree weather for my runs.
Yeah, I'd say the Arc'teryx Easyrider is too warm for running. A better option for cold running, that is still soft and fleecy, is the Hercules. The face fabric is much more breathable, still blocks about half the wind, and has nice fuzzy high-loft fleece inside. Plus it's cut a bit more athletic than the easyrider
The Arcteryx Easyrider Jacket is light and comfy, yet warm without being a moisture trap. It provides a great range of motion without binding. On top of all this function, it flatters the feminine form and looks very smart on the street.
I love the Arc'teryx brand! The quality is superb. This jacket fits well and is keeping me warm and dry(even though I don't live in freezing temps. unless I'm out at night).
The styling is perfect. I am a small woman and like my clothes fitted at the shoulders and wrists. Usually I have to have everything altered, but not with this jacket.
I own 3 Arc'teryx jackets for different purposes. I think this one will be my favorite.
As always, the Gearheads at this site have helped me find the perfect jacket for my needs. I couldn't have found this without their help.
I have an Gamma, just loved it. Easyrider feels made and designed by another company. Details are not carefully made, The cut not so nicely shaped. It just a very uninspirational copy of its previous glorious product. Though the price is even higher. I can see the decline of this name, what a pity. Buy more Gamma when they are available..
I love this jacket. Its warm enough to wear alone and light enough to layer. The outside is smooth and the inside is super soft and warm. It fits and looks greateverywhere I go, I get compliments on it. Windproof and waterproof, durable and comfy, its a very sharp jacket.
I love this jacket! Excellent quality, great fit, does everything I would expect of a technical jacket and exceeds my expectations in term of style and comfort. I would highly recommend it to anyone!
I live in Seattle, so the weather hasn't been too crazy here for me to comment on warmth. I use it for daily wear, and with a T-shirt on underneath I am pretty comfortable. The jacket has a great fit and seems like really good quality. One thing I don't like is how tight the non-adjustable cuff is by my hands. I have small hands, and I feel I really have to squeeze 'em. I suppose it's a good thing to have when you're out in the snow. Overall, I like the jacket a lot, and it cost $87 less than at REI!!!
I love this jacket!! It fits great. One thing I really love is that the sleeves are nice and long and your long sleeve shirts dont bunch up when you put it on. The bottom cinches around the waist to trap in your heat. Just a note, buy this jacket next season b/c they are making it a lot warmer. As of now this is the warmest soft shell on the market. It's not too bulky and it keeps you wasm!!
