Arc'teryx Beta SL Jacket - Women's - 2007

The Arc'teryx Women's Beta SL Jacket incorporates superlight design with a range of features many heavier shells don't offer. Gusseted underarms complete with Underarm zips facilitate climbing moves and efficient heat transfer. A short length provides the perfect amount of coverage for active sports as your jacket won't interfere with your pack or harness. Large pockets can hold climbing skins, lunch, and gloves. Stay dry through the fiercest of storms with the helmet-compatible hood. Arc'teryx used WaterTight zips with Gore-Tex Paclite and XCR to create a lightweight jacket that can ride out the roughest weather. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: Here's the Beta: the Beta SL Jacket is light and right.

Purchased this jacket last year, worth the changing season's that came and went, especially with the cold winter on one of the Alaskan Islands... Yet my favorite jacket.

I went right under Yosemite Falls(in winter at night) with this jacket, got soaked. Jacket dried in less than 5 minutes, stayed warm.

Arc'teryx Quality

Fit is good, true to what sizing chart indicated. Very lightweight and comfortable - perfect for touring. Really hoping that the Paclite/XCR combo holds out over the long term, so far so good.

Best Jacket Ive Ever Owned

By:
October 29, 2007

When I first tried out Arc'teryx I wasn't convinced it was better than the more popular, The North Face brand. After deciding to go with a brand for quality over popularity and it was the best decision I ever made. This jacket is absolutely amazing and I wear it all the time. I got a medium and I'm 5'10, 130lbs and it fits me great! Arc'teryx's quality is worth the price.

Worth every penny

By:

This was my birthday present from my husband! He has great knowledge and
taste in what works outdoors in any kind of weather. This jacket is great for skiing (with a couple of fleece layers underneath), climbing, hiking in the mountains or just walking around city streets in Europe. The most versatile
jacket I have ever owned. If I could only own two jackets it would be this one (the Beta SL) and Cloudveil’s Serendipity. You pay for what you get and if you are after function and quality ARC’TERYX is the best choice!!

Should be a 5

By:
January 3, 2006

This jacket should get a 5 rating, but I just can't stop laughing from the zipper cords on my chest. Were they trying to use pasties? Wiggle a lot when you ski for even more giggles. The pull cord for the waist is tricky with gloves on. Other than that the jacket does everything and more. If you find yourself in-between sizes, I'd recommend going larger with this jacket.

Awesome Jacket!

By:
April 17, 2006

I bought this jacket specifically for an early Spring trip to wet, chilly England and it was perfect. With a layer or two underneath it, I was dry and warm and comfortable no matter how bad the weather got. I know it's going to be great next fall and winter too—skiing, camping, and just wearing in the rain. Plus, it looks so good, like all of the Arc’teryx gear.
