Arc'teryx Beta AR Jacket - Women's - 2007

Lightweight yet durable, the Women's Arc'teryx Beta AR Jacket is a must have for any weight-conscious outdoor athlete who's hard on her gear. Sporting Arc'teryx's signature features like welded and taped seams, WaterTight zippers, molded zipper garages and key joint reinforcement, the Beta AR Jacket is a powerful addition to any backcountry kit. No-lift gussets keep it from riding up when you reach over your head for a hold or just get stuff off the car rack. A helmet-friendly drop hood lets you wisely use a brain bucket. The Beta AR Jacket also has dry cuffs for easy grasp and a soft feel. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: The Arc'teryx Beta AR jacket is for lightweight fanatics that are hard on their gear.

Women's Beta Jacket

The fit of the Beta jacket can not be beat. Arc'teryx are pricey but worth every penny. I've bought two of their jackets without trying them on and they both fit great. It was definitely expensive but worth it.

Best Jacket Ever

By:

I reluctantly spent the extra money on this jacket and have been very glad that I did. Compared to other hard shells, it is much more flattering, and I don't feel like an outdoor geek when I wear it to out on the town on rainy nights. The Gore-Tex XCR is the best; I've worn this in a complete downpour for 4 hours and didn't get wet. When it's a bit warm, just open the pit zips. The hood is big enough to go over a bike helmet, but can be adjusted to fit just right. Really really thrilled with this purchase. HIGHLY recommend. Worth every penny .

Beta AR Jacket

By:
April 19, 2007

It rained hard last weekend and I was thrilled as I would get to test this jacket. The water beaded off even after 5 hours of immense downpour. The fit is great I am 5ft 1in and wanted a short jacket that would be flexible and light weight for hiking. I was able to layer up under the jacket and reminded warm despite the freezing point temperature. I have the pimento colour and love it, I was worried about it looking too pink, but in natural light it looks more red.
Like all of Arc'Teryx's clothing this jacket carries a high price tag, but does the job well.

great jacket!

it's totally waterproof and windproof, not as warm as i thought it would be but i wear an arc'teryx fleece underneath and the two combined are awesome (this is in below freezing weather)! the high hand pockets are a little weird but i realize that you really wouldn't use them as hand pockets anyways. the "statue" and "fog" colors are beautiful

5 out of 5

If you're 5'4' or under... you'll love this jacket (size small). Great performance, perfect fit and it's design moves with you. Instead of the typically slightly too large/long jacket, I felt svelte on the slopes. Love it!

Finally the Right Review for the Wright jacket

By:
May 12, 2006

I love the quality of Arc'teryx products and this jacket surpasses any raincoat I've ever owned. I especially like the venting zippers along the side of the jacket. The color I chose is beautiful.
Although I purchased it after the rainy season ended this year, I'm sure glad I will be protected when next year's rains pour down upon me.
Seriously though, the jacket is extremely well made and comfortable to wear.
Again, the staff deserves lots of kudos for their expert advice and service.
