The Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket is the most popular Gore-Tex piece that Arc'teryx makes. It's ambidextrous nature and versatile shape insures that the Theta AR can stand up to any outdoor activity. Arc'teryx originality pervades this fowl-weather friend with innovation. Wonderful WaterTight zippers defend against all forms of moisture and eliminate the need of bulky storm flaps. Contrasting Gore-Tex body panels put more durable materials in high wear areas and enhanced breathability around your core, for a long lasting jacket that can withstand backpacks, ski edges, overly-friendly huskies, and spilled mochas. All of this is sewn into a longer length jacket that is lightweight, packable, and ready for action. *Available for US shipment only.
Bottom Line: This is the most popular jacket by the company that's redefining hardcore outerwear.
Awesome, lightweight jacket but don't let the weight fool you. This jacket is very well sealed at the seams, yet provides ample ways to release body heat as needed. If you have long arms, this jacket will take care of you. Someone in another review felt it ran big but I felt it was pretty true to size when considering the shoulders and having more than 2 layers on, but I don't like it tight across my shoulders either. I like to have freedom of movement with no tightness to remind me that I'm wearing something. It's worth every penny of the sale price. Enjoy it! It pays to buy quality products when you spend time outside, especially in the cold!
I've always owned North Face jackets, and I find this one is a big improvement. It has a great cutI am 5'11", and the sleeves and jacket length are perfect. The hood is also cut very well; it's the best hood I've found on a jacket, although it is not stowable. I am usually a size 6, and I found a M to be perfect, with enough room underneath for lots of layers (fleece, sweaters, etc). Generally this is an impeccably designed, lightweight, well-fitting jacket perfect for most everythingskiing, backpacking/hiking, bad weather. I do wish it had hand pockets, though.
I bought this for my wife since our recent move to Vancouver, BC, and she's delighted with it. Lightweight, tough, absolutely rain-proof, and attractive to booot. 5 stars
I got this jacket and love it to death. It repels water like the desert! It is so comfortable I wear it everywhere. It' expensive, but worth every penny. My favorite part is the sleeves. I have long arms and find it very difficult to find a jacket that comes to my wrists, this one does, and if you have that problem too, you will surely appreciate this Arcteryx beauty.
This jacket is my absolute best buy! Ive been hiking in the mountains with it, and its very lightweight and flexible when you need to move your arms! Kept me warm and dry, mountains in Norway are often windy and wet (foggy). Cant wait to use it skiing, am sure Im gonne love it!
I bought this jacket a few weeks ago and fell in love with it pretty fast. The sizing is pretty funky though. I'm 5ft 9in and normally a medium or large, but I had to get a small, which Arc'teryx states is equal to a size 4-6. Not so according to this sites sizing chart, which marks small as a size 8, which is definitely closer to home. But the important thing is that the fit is perfect: slim and comfortable. A great buy!
This jacket ROCKS! I love everything about it! The design is made perfectly for a womans body and the longer back is great at preventing snow from coming in. I love the longer sleeves and the wind stopping is amazing! I only wore my RHO base layer with it and was kept warm and toasty, even in the freezing wind on the mountain! Well worth the price!
I bought this jacket, as a snowboarder, for those spring riding days that it is a sunny 50+. I love it, the GORE is Awesome. The taped seams are unbeatable. Only thing I could possibly complain about is the price. You could purchase a lot of merchandise for 450.00 but you wont need to if you buy this jacket.
I'm a runner. I run in the wind and rain often. I also have two boys who like to play in the snow. This jacket has exceeded my expectations for any of my outdoor activities and I never have to feel the bite of the wind again. Everyone should own one of these jackets! Thanks Arc'teryx!!!!
