Arc'teryx Quiver Backpack - 670cu in - 2007

The Arc'Teryx Quiver Backpack is a unique over-the -shoulder 3-point assault pack that spins around to provide easy access to skins, shovels, probes and other necessities. This is the pack you'll be glad you have on when you're trying to access skins or whatnot while riding the lift on your way to backcountry bliss. Instead of taking this pack off, like you'd have to with typical shoulder strap packs, you simply spin the Quiver around and grab what you need. It's hydration compatible, because hydration is as an important tool as any in the backcountry, and a one and a half inch waistbelt keeps the Quiver secure while you hit powder stashes. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: The Quiver Pack makes access so easy that it will quickly become one of your favorite pieces of gear.

Quiver

This is just as described. I have been using this skiing for the last two years, and love it for the accessibility and low profile. I don't bother with the waist belt and don't really see any need for it unless your are jogging. This probably won't carry a jacket, but is great for all your "stuff". It has two zippered compartments. It has a mesh pocket inside to secure an optional hydration bladder, and a slot for the hose to go through. There is a ring on the shoulder strap to secure the hose.

another great product from arc'teryx

This bag is excellent if used as a day pack. If you plan on using it for school books, you might only be able to carry one subject at a time. But, this is a great buy. It's very sturdy and works perfectly. I highly recommend it.

even better than advertised

By:

this bag rocks! i got it today and promptly loaded mini voile shovel,(also rocks!) black diamond probe, 1st aid kit, hydro bottle, bivy sack, sam splint, emergency radio, extra gloves and still have outside pocket completely open for power-bars and the like. i couldn't actually believe it. it fits great (i'm 6'1" 230) and it's light, even with all i loaded. the hydro bottle should be 1 liter (mine is 2 & the pocket is tight but works...hose hole/clip is real accessible). handle has to be taken off shovel. buy it!

Great Products

Arc'Teryx is the best. Bought the Quiver to use skiing, take to London and sailing this summer. So far, I have been hiking with it, and it is a perfect little pack with the AT quality I expect. I am going skiing next week and look forward to using it with a bladder that I just bought.

great little pack

This is a great pack. For its size it can hold a lot. I use it to go to class (I'm in college) and it holds everything I need from books and notebooks to pens. Its great for short hikes and even mountain biking with the waist strap...

Perfect Ski Bag

By:
March 4, 2005

As billed, the quiver pack is easy to deal with when getting on and off the lift all day. The size is perfect. A couple of sandwiches and water bladder fit perfectly. The one shoulder strap takes a second to get used to, but the pack is fantastic for skiing.

Excellent 3-point bag

By:

This is my 2nd AT backpack (the other is Khamsin 52). This one is made in Vietnam, but that does not mean the quality is any worse than Canada-made AT gear. The materials and the design are top notch. The bag is great for carrying small light loads that need to be accessed a lot. You access the bag by swinging it around the shoulder, when it is in front of you the zippers are right on top and very easy to access - very nice. BTW, the main bag strap is over your left shoulder. Perfect for short hikes, but not suitable for running (it will move up and down too much). Also, don't expect to fit your down jacket in there (not enough space). Can be used on campus - letter sized papers/notebooks fit without having to fold them, but don't expect to stuff two big textbooks in there.
Overall, great bag, and a lot better option than a lumbar bag - easier to access, roomier, less restrictive. As always, the service was top notch.

Great design

By:

This is a very well made, thought out bag for a day of hiking or skiing. I have yet to use it on the slopes but use it every weekend for hiking and long walks with the pooch. I use the external straps for the pooch's Chuck-it and the pockets for food, dog toys, folding water bowl and a 3L CamelBak bladder and still have room for a hardshell or fleece. It is very easy to wip around to access the pockest and the access angles just make sense. The torso straps are wide but don't get in the way even if you gut like me.

Great for hauling lunch and a book

By:
January 19, 2006

I bought a Quiver to carry gym clothes on my hikes across the city, and it almost contains cross trainers, shorts, and a singlet. Like most Arc'teryx gear, it's made like iron and so well designed that you are tempted to wear it empty just for the pleasure of the fit. I wish it had more capacity to match its shoulder strap and belts.

Arc'teryx Quiver backpack

I bought two of these for my wife and myself. They are very lightweight and have extremely handy access to any contents. It’s a great day bag. It holds more than it appears it could. I’m very satisfied. M. O'Brien

Too many problems

By:
June 7, 2006

The bag fit great, but the bungee cord strap was broken when I got it. I sent the bag to the manufacture and they repaired it. Great company. The bag only held the skis in the right position as long as you did not over pack the bag. Also, trying to put a hydration system in the bag was a pain.

I sent the bag back.
