It's hard to have just one. Cool styling and versatile piece. It's thin material, but long enough to pull over face and down neck. Dries quickly, too.
Great mask!

I love this mask... I used it from biking to work, winter hiking and skiing. Its light and not restricting like some of the face masks. I even like using it as a headband.

Got the fruit stripe color, great for windy days to protect my face or wear as a headband. Got the fleece version for colder snowy days.
Would these fit kids or youth too?

It would depend on the size of the kids head but these are really stretchy so I'd say that should work on most kids above 10 yrs old or so.

I bought one for my self and my boyfriend. We live in colorado and it get very cold out here. It dry's very fast and is very comfortable to wear. The only issue I have with mine is getting used to having fabric in your mouth when trying to talk. It does create and lock in moisture too which is another thing to get used too. Other than that I totally recommend this product!!

I love my yowie facemask. I bought a couple, but on really cold days, like the last few weeks, they haven't been cutting it. It gets damp from breathing and then freezes. Still better than anything else I've ever used in this sort of weather though.
Amazing

This thing is awesome! I haven't gone boarding with it yet, but i will tomorrow, so that's exciting. I have, however, gone biking with it in super cold temps and it held up really well. I love this thing. Looks awesome too!
**Post use edit
I've now used this a bunch of days on the hill and it rocks. It stays on my face and never falls down. I can breathe with it on, and it has never frozen up on me, and I took it to Killington for 3 days and the temps were below 0 one day. The Yowie is amazing

cool colors, lousy construction

This is a pretty useful item. I wear it while biking in the cold and I can pull it up over my head, with just my face showing and turn it into a balacava type thing. It is very light material, but it is enough for your neck and ears and lets you breath. I find when I am exercising, I just need a little something and this fits the bill. The construction leaves something to be desired. The ends of the material are left just unfinished with no hemming. I can imagine they will frey with time and this is just being too pennypinching by the manufacturer. But the designs are so cool!

I've had a few Yowies for a while now (3+ years) and none of them are fraying. The lack of a sewn edge actually makes them very comfortable under goggles or a helmet. Just sayin'.
sooo sick!!!!!

I am a sponsored rider for OT so i got a free yowie from them and immediately i feel in love with it. Regardless if
I have to pay for another one i am going to get a couple more just so i have a couple for when they start to get frozen from my breath on the slopes. SOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier than fiddling around with a bandanna and they look 10x cooler.

What kind of material is it made of - cotton or what? Is it stretchy? How long is it? I need one to wear under a helmet, as a dust mask, and long enough to keep the sun off my neck - all at the same time.

It's made of a polyester peached microfiber. If it stretchy and super thin. I use mine for sun protection while fishing, hiking, and snowboarding. Great for summer or winter use.
so nice, I wrote it twice

They are not seamless, but the seam is smooth and you don't feel it against your face.

Hey yag5562678,
Thanks for your question. The Outdoor Technology Yowie Facemask does not have a specific UPF rating, but it does give some protection from UV rays.
Spring Facemask
Laurel

These are the perfect facemasks for spring conditions. I have a fleece neck tube that I wear most of the winter and this is a perfect lightweight option for when it gets a little too warm out. It's also great because you can turn it into a headband if you want to take off your beanie once you get down to the tram deck.
Yeti not blurry enough!
Sinecurely
Member since
Don't get me wrong, this thing is great. It is thin enough to not create a problem under a helmet strap and it breathes enough to minimize fogging problems so common with some neck gaiters.
But what's with the clear printing of Sasquatch? Seriously, who ever saw a photo of Bigfoot that wasn't blurry. Everyone knows that all Yetis lack focus. That's why cameras can't catch them clearly. Get it right next time guys.
