bluetooth connection, 10+ hours of battery life, built in Mic, dust and water resistant, standard camera threading so you can mount to any tripod (or the turtleclaw : www.backcountry.com/outdoor-technology-turtle-claw ) - this thing is rad. I got the white, and it is perfect for outdoor lounging. Sound quality is great and it can get LOUD. Comes with a 3.5mm audio cable to connect to any device you use headphones with, and a USB to Micro-USB cable to charge your speaker, as well as the wall block to charge with it.
**margaritas not included.
Can you only through bluetooth with this...

I like the portability and wire-less nature of the Turtle Shell, but I have had 2 issues with it thus far:
1. When I use the blue tooth function, audio is in-and-out and often choppy, so I don't really use this for blue tooth.
2. This speaker is not well suited for high-bass music (i.e. some house music). The speaker will rumble on very deep bass, which prevents me from really enjoying the big sound of this small speaker.
I expected to have a few issues with such a small speaker, and I am okay with that. For me, not having to deal with or see tons of wires when I move this speaker was totally worth this purchase.

I supported the project on Kickstarter so I waited eagerly for a while to the my Turtleshell. The thing is surprisingly small and yet packs a punch. After charging it for the first time, all the while constantly examining it and discovering how bombproof and well built this thing is, I quickly paired it with my phone and cranked the beats. It throws noise everywhere in a room and outside, and with excellent full bodied sound and decent bass. Keep in mind the unit works exponentially better when it is placed on a flat hard surface facing up to throw the best sound and use natural acoustic reflexes. It will play nice and loud suspended on a mount nonetheless.
Pros:
-definitely water resistant (stayed out on the field during soccer practice all the time playing tunes).
-Bombproof (have yet to think of a new thing to throw it at)
-Long lasting battery (7 loud hours in my experience)
-looks so darn neat, like a futuristic turtle shell, or somethin'
Cons:
-Distorts bass when both speaker and music device have volume cranked!
-Only works most effective face up on a hard flat surface
-Bluetooth range drops quickly when battery is less than half (I just use aux cord by that point)
Bottom line... You neeed it, get one. Then kick it.
Best phone accessory to date!

I've been using my iphone religiously for music, mainly pandora and I was getting tired of always being on headphones or on the crappy iphone speaker (which actually isn't that crappy but when juxtaposed up against this beast from O.T. it is!).
The sound is fantastic (that lil' woofer gets busy SON!!!), the sound is clean & balanced...plus taking or making calls is great and no problem; the microphone works really well and so far nobody has said they can't hear me or responded with a say again/what the hell did you just say retort.
I've played it for 3 1/2 hours straight so the charge is legit, if you are the kid that brought the boom box to the playground or even before that was reppin' Pocket Rockers this is the item for you!
