Can you love a jacket too much?

Oh, I love this jacket soooo much. Warm and waterproof are a good combination on the Olympic Peninsula, and the style is still good in the city on a cold day. I am 5' 95 lbs, xs is great with room for a few sweaters if needed (but so far I have not needed more than one). The jacket is slightly longer in back and covers about 2/3 of my back pockets. Front hits about 5 or 6 inches below the waist. The sleeves go to my fingertips but stay at the right spot with the velcro wrist cinch. Best jacket for all around cold weather active wear.

Great jacket! Stayed warm and dry in snowy 10-15 degree weather skiing at Deer Valley.

Does this jacket run small? I wear medium, but just curious, how will it fit with a thermal and shirt underneath it?

Responded on

I don't think so, I usually wear a medium and picked up a Large to be on the safe side... but it looks like the large is too big. I haven't had a chance to get the medium but I feel like it would fit better.

Responded on

It definitely does not run small. I am a tall person, so this is something I'm always concerned about with jackets. I normally wear a size medium to small in tops and this medium fits perfectly. It is not too tight or binding and the arms are nice and long. I seriously have not found a jacket that fits this well and is sooo comfortable in years. I took a chance when I saw this 50% off on Steep and Cheap and could not be more happy with my purchase!

To Out4fun or anyone else: what temp range did you try the jacket at Jackson? I know that the Hobacks can wring it out of you.

warm and toasty with great heat dump!

I was afraid that this jacket would be too warm for opening day at Jackson Hole... by the way, the mountain was open top to bottom and was riDICulous... wow! So, I dressed lightly underneath (one layer) and was happy for most of the time. However, after skiing halfway down North Hoback, my legs were burning and so was my body. A quick opening of vents and resting of my legs did the trick, and I was on my way. Killer jacket. You'll be psyched you did!
