You may have heard that the Outdoor Research Women’s Rumor Fleece Jacket is an exceptional mid-layer or even base layer in extreme conditions; we're here verify that the scuttlebutt is true. A smooth, stretchy outer face resists abrasion and deflects light wind and flurries, while a microfleece backing draws moisture from your skin and offers warm insulation. The jacket's balaclava-style hood wraps around your neck and the sides of your head for warmth on a cold day and a smooth fit under a helmet. Thumb loops hold the sleeves in place and provide extra warmth.

Versatile

I've used my Rumor Hoody for biking, skiing, hiking, and trail running. It is a great all-around mid-layer and I love the thumb loops. I take this piece with me on surf vacations, ski trips, and throw it in the pack for various outdoor adventures!

favourite for now, but won't last long

This fleece hoody is really lush and pretty, good for wearing for lots of activities. It is a little bit windproof, has big roomy pockets that zip, a fitted hood and a nice color. The smooth exterior, however, pills when anything rubs against it and some sharp objects have already pulled fibers loose after a few weeks of wear.
