Great visor

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Able to fold it and stick in your pocket (just like the radar hats). Great for when the sun is out and you need eye shade but your head gets too hot and sweaty under a hat/cap. Need another one to have in my car at all times. I use the small size in the radar hats and this one-size-fits-all works okay for me. The adjustment is at the smallest limit, though. I fit best in hats sized 7 (small in OR sizing) but usually forced to use hats sized between 7 1/8 to 7 5/8.

How does the buckle at the back hold up?...

How does the buckle at the back hold up? Does it work better than velco?

Best Answer

With regular use the buckle should hold up better than Velcro however Velcro is more likely to live up to life event like a dog getting a hold of it or stepping on it in the dark. If Murphy's Law applies to you then I am sure you will find a way to break the plastic buckle, but if you are organized and take care of your gear then you really should be able to get a full like out of this visor.

Great Visor that fits in your pocket

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

The Outdoor Research Radar Visor is a great example of form meeting perfectly with function. The pre-broken brim allows you to store it in your pocket without worrying about the brim getting damaged or deformed - and when you pull it out to wear, it always comes back to it's perfectly curved shape. The visor is extremely comfortable to wear, easy to adjust and the Hydro color is quite sharp.

It folds in half!!

I have never been much of a hat lover as they make me too hot, but definitely needed something for sun protection. I never really thought about visors, but then I found heard about the OR Radar Visor. It is perfect. Lightweight, it doesn't get you hot, and the biggest plus is that it folds in half.

    Outdoor Research Sun Protection Products

If you're not careful, long days outside hiking, paddling or climbing can leave your skin damaged and burned. To keep you protected from damaging ultraviolet rays, Outdoor Research offers a full line of sun hats, and UV Protective shirts and pants designed to keep you protected from the sun.

    Great visor!

Love this visor. Being in Utah where the sun is super bright, I run with this visor all the time. Great price and easy to clean.

      Fold it?

Love this thing. I was nervous about the color, but in real life it's not going to scare Bambi. It has faded with wear, or maybe it's just dirty.

        Fold it?

        Very good

I love this vizor...I recently bought it to use it while running and it works great. The feature to fold it and put it in your pocket is especially good. Overall easy to use and good quality.

Is the orange color more burnt or neon?

Definitely a touch more burnt than the photo, but still very bright.

          Back pocket friendly

The fold it the middle of the visor allows it to pack easily like in your back pocket.

Get it now. What's not to love about a visor? Your head can breath, the sun stays out of your eyes, they look good! This one steps the game up a bit by allowing you to fold it in half and stow it away. Genius.
