When it’s steep, deep, and cold as hell, the Outdoor Research Men’s Primo Glove is the logical choice for uncompromising hand protection. Thanks to a Gore-Tex waterproof breathable insert and EnduraLoft synthetic insulation, your hands will stay warm and dry whether you’re crushing the resort or skinning for fresh lines. The wrap-around leather palm helps you grip your poles or your victory beer, and the large drawcord gauntlet keeps snow from getting inside.

Bottom Line: Primo protection for deep, cold days.

Words can't Describe

Words can't describe the love that i have for these gloves. I searched high and low for several years trying to find that PERFECT glove. With the OR Primo, I found it! It fits my hand the way a glove should fit; not too tight, but not too loose; not to bulky, but not too thin. The first time you put it on, you'll think it's too much insulation, but after the very first full day use, the insulation conforms to your hand and pretty much stays that way for the rest of the life of the gloves. I have two pair, one with gauntlets and one with out. They both work really well. I wouldn't trade these for anything on the market right now, and I would be severely upset if I ever lost them. Toasty fingers that don't sweat is what you're gonna get with the OR Primo Glove.

Great gloves!

By:

These gloves from Outdoor Research keep my hands extremely warm. I haven't snowboarded with them in below zero but it was in the teens and my hands were toasty warm (others in my group were using different brands/styles and their hands were already cold).

I used them to shovel some snow in below zero temps (around -20 or so) and my fingers did get a little chilly...nothing a liner or hand warmers wouldn't have fixed.

Overall this seems like a great glove that will last!

Not the best I've ever had but pretty good

Delivered without the idiot cords. Not a big deal but I noticed. The inner glove doesn't seem to fit perfectly. Small folds in the material. Plenty warm with good dexterity. I like the cuff closure and release too.

Because of the two issues you described (the cords & folds), were the pair you purchased happen to be "smalls" and did you send them back for exchange or refund? I ask because I think I received either the pair you returned, or a pair with the identical two issues. Based on my experience with Backcountry, quality control at the warehouse has been an issue that I have contacted customer service about with basically a response of, "we in customer service can't control what happens in the warehouse"! Not the answer I want to hear from a sales-based company that I have purchased a lot of products from.

Very Warm

By:

I love these gloves. My hands get cold really quickly but these gloves work great. I've used them primarily for skiing and trekking around in the snow and they're almost too warm. I'm an active skier and my hands were sweating in temperatures down to about 10 degrees. They're perfect for anything not too active though.
