Two layers of fleece team up for supreme warmth in the Outdoor Research PL 400 Gloves. OR designed these babies to stand apart from liners that get separation anxiety when removed from their shells. 300-weight fleece outside is attached with hidden seams to a plush 100-weight fleece lining (300 plus 100 equals 400; get it?), and you get a glove that loves to scrape ice off of windshields in the morning. The smooth exterior makes for light water-repellency as well as smooth sliding when you combine it with one of Outdoor Research's shell options. Inside a shell, the PL 400 becomes the warmest fleece liner you could ask for, and the MotionWrap construction keeps you surprisingly dexterous by tucking seams out of your grasp. A grippy palm keeps ice axes and dog leashes from slipping away.
Bottom Line: Warm glove liners have a new big sister.

sizing difficult

like others, i had problems sizing this glove. according to the measurements, i should have been a medium, but when i got it to try on, it was actually quite a bit too small. so i ended up returning them. gloves are tricky to size, but i guess i just expected the measurements to be more helpful. seemed like a decent glove, but you can't use them if they don't fit..
Great for Iowa winter!

These gloves are great! They are very comfortable for any use. The grips are also very helpful. I have medium and they are a little big, but I like the extra room! Great for scraping windshields and scooping snow.

the smalls do run small as far as gloves go. i am a hand size 6.5 (surgical glove) and 7 ring finger diam. and these are a perfect snug fit

well i want to be fair in this review. the gloves were ordered for my wife. i was really pleased with how light weight they were being 400 weight fleece. but be careful when ordering these gloves due to size. i took my wife to a store and had her try on the gloves to see what size she should get. small was what fit best at the store. but when we got them they were way smaller than at the store. im not sure why, i wish i could have returned them for a new larger pair, but sadly due to my lovable dog getting ahold of one of the gloves i am unable to find out how good this site's return policy is. overall i think she would have been happy if they fit and my dog didnt eat one of them!!!!!!!

These gloves are great; they are well made and comfortable. The measurements to determine your size worked well for the total length of the glove. However, the wrist circumference is not mentioned and that would have been helpful. The first size I ordered fit in the length but was to narrow to get on. I exchanged them for a medium and that works well. Thanks
