Outdoor Research goes straight to the top and brings you waterproof breathable Gore-Tex material to make the Men’s Gravitator Glove an ideal choice for the worst weather of the winter. EnduraLoft insulation packs some serious insulation, so you can rip freshies in the middle of the storm. Outdoor Research concentrated the insulation and fleece lining on the back of the hand to increase dexterity and help you get a solid grab on the 360 you toss over the park’s biggest table or dig a pit test in the backcountry.

Bottom Line: Ready for the mountain’s worst.

Is Gore-Tex waterproofing material laminated to back of shell

Is Gore-Tex waterproofing material laminated to back of shell (difficult to seam-tape) OR a thin insert (fully seam-taped) between shell and inner fabric?

The Gore membrane is an insert, tacked and taped at just the finger tips and around the cuff.

For a laminate membrane check out "Outdry" technology.

Good functional glove

By:
February 6, 2010

*Note* The Fossil/Expresso picture is the correct photo. The black gloves are NOT. Pros:Good fit.Tough palmsGreat universal glove restraints... no need to worry about having the same brand jacket so they'll work together.Thinner insulation on the palm side helps with dexterityCons:A bit pricey for what they are but not any more so than the Burton, H&H and others I looked at.The snot/goggle wipes aren't all that functional, the material just isn't soft enough.Overall, I'd buy these again because compared to the last few pairs of gloves I've bought, these are holding up like champs! My hands are usually warm/hot and these have been perfect... who needs liners when you can just have a glove that works without the extra layers?
