From the woods to your office.

You're finally able to take that shortcut through the woods to your office now that you're wearing the Outdoor Research Women's Ferrosi Wrap Skirt. You might come to realize it's not really a shortcut as you crash through overgrown brush and splash through streams, but that's okay because this skirt is made from tough water- and wind-resistant nylon spandex blend fabric that's durable, breathable, and stretches enough for full range-of-motion. Just dust yourself off and swap out those hiking boots for your work shoes before facing your boss.

Great adorable skirt, bad size chart

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 8

The weather has been colder, but I loved the look of this skirt so much that I already wore it several times with leggings. I love the silver button details. The fabric is great. I got a little water on it and it rolled right off. The only thing I'm bummed about is that it's slightly large. It will still stay up around my hips, but I have to wrap it as tight as it will go. This is disappointing because I actually ordered down a size from what my measurements indicated on the size chart. I have had this issue before, but I was afraid to go 2 whole sizes down. I guess I learned my lesson on this one. For the price I paid for the skirt on sale it wasn't worth it to pay $7 extra to exchange it. I'll just make it work.

    Cute, comfortable, and water-resistant.

Haven't tested this skirt out in the great outdoors yet, but I wore it to the office today and it's a really comfortable skirt, nice and stretchy and incredibly lightweight. It's a cute fit, too. I'm 5'9'' and got the 6, and on me it is quite a flirty mini, but I bought it to wear with leggings so it works. Unlike so many skirts I've looked at for travel and hiking, this is not frumpy. I needed to pack something lightweight for an upcoming backpacking trip that can do double duty: rough it on a hike and then get dressed up for a trip to town.
I spilled some water on it and was pleased to see that the water-repellency works--the water just beaded up and was easy to brush away.
