Ferrosi Jacket

Don’t let ripping winds pull you off your project. Instead, pull-on the Ferrosi Jacket from Outdoor Research and receive immediate protection from the elements to hone in on the crux move. Wind- and water-resistance define the technical aspects of this jacket which also provides sun protection and breathability for peak bagging and long alpine ascents. Only a few things needed improvement on the 2019 version of this jacket and OR delivered: sew lines are minimized for a more aesthetic look that easily transitions from summit to street, and key wear areas are now reinforced for more time in the mountains.

Great material.. long sleeves.

Love the jacket, sleeves comically long haha. I roll them up and it's not a problem. The extra length can be nice when biking. I'm 6ft 185lbs and the large fits well, maybe a bit roomy but i probably wouldn't want to go for a medium.

Super long arms

Arms are way too long. Size down unless you are a gorilla. I'm 6 foot 6 and the XL was way too big. Otherwise satisfied.

Strange Fit

Be aware that the fit of this jacket and the hooded version is very different: -The circumference of the XL jacket is somewhere between the XL hoody and the XXL hoody. -The sleeves on the XL jacket are the same length as that of the XXL hoody. -The XL jacket is shorter then the XL hoody. I'm honestly not sure how they came up with these proportions, very strange.

Oregon rains meet their match

I've tried quite a few rain jackets and none of them consistently block rain from coming in. This works like a charm, and with the poncho mode available there's not the threat of sweating either.

I have bought this product again and again

My Ferrosi Jackets are fantastic. I've purchased four of them over the last year because they fit and perform so well. I have broad shoulders and long arms and usually have trouble finding jackets with long enough sleeves-not so with Outdoor Research Products. The sleeve length is perfect. The thumb holes protect the back of my hands and make layering easy. I appreciate the stretch fabric and easy of care. I wear my jackets around town; to the range; and on my morning hikes. I anticipate throwing my hooded Ferrosi Jacket in my backpack for my longer treks in the shoulder months.

Too Big

I like the piece, but I got an XL my normal size and it does not fit well. A large size would have been better. The material seems strong and should last. I agree with others the sleeves seem way too long. Not sure how warm it will be without one or two more layers. Price sold me on this purchase.

Great Windbreaker

Like the fact that it is stretchy and has long arms with thumb loops as use it for paragliding as my wind breaker.. So far its working well with a down puffy underneath.

Great jacket for cool weather

Love the Ferrosi jackets! Already had a hooded one and got another one without a hood for more casual wear. The material is stretchy, super comfortable and durable. Looks good too with the slight texture to it. It's breathable and does a decent job of cutting the wind (certainly not wind-proof though) and will fend off light precipitation for a while. The jacket is a little heavier than other similar windbreaker type jackets but the material is more comfortable and more durable than those in my opinion. Overall, just a great cool weather jacket.

Very comfortable

The jacket is just great. There are holes for thumbs on the sleeves and its very lightweight. Size S fits very well. Recommend this jacket for everyone

Great lightweight grab and go piece

Just enough on those borderline days where it's too warm for a sweatshirt and just a tad too cool for a t-shirt. Well constructed.... runs a bit long in the sleeves. Great piece of clothing
